On online e-commerce platforms like amazon they don't get discounted at all and most of the time, the base storage option disappears. Now if you're talking refurbished then apple doesn't officially sell refurbished iPhones in India. And I don't want to pay so much money and buy a used phone from elsewhere when I don't know what the actual condition of the device is and how long will it bear with me. So it doesn't make sense to me.

After reading this article, I am pretty sure that gsmarena.com do not hate/discredit the iPhone15/15Plus, they want ro show us that the Pro is worth the money than the vanilla ones (ofc for the potential buyers)

Performance gap argue is pretty weak for iPhone consumers..
Like let's be real iPhones are bought by people that are not tech savvy and are just used to consume media
Like let's be honest the performance of the A15,16 to 1millioon matters nothing the fundamental use of the iPhone will remain the same

Here in Malaysia, the iPhone 15 256GB cost MYR 4,899 (~ $1,049), which is exactly the same as the Sony Xperia 5 Mk4 with the only 256GB storage option. And what I get in return with the Sony? A 120Hz screen, a headphone jack, a microSD card slot, a telephoto camera that can do 4K/120fps video recording, and USB-C 3.2 with wired video output support.
Sony is "overpriced"? I'm not seeing that.

It wouldve been a nice gesture if they'd at least either bumped up the refresh rate or at least bumped charging capacity on the 15 just to say thanks for buying apple/sticking with apple..I think it would have swung a lot of android users too perhaps back into the apple ecosystem but man, guess they're the most valuable company in the world for a reason.. yet peeps keep buying em.

Iphone is just one of alternatives for someone who doesnt have money to buy Samsung. Other than iPhone, are all random alternative garbage brands.

They're literally making the vanilla model too inferior compared to the pro, it is a good phone but for the buck worth it's still better to get the 13 or 14 just because there's literally no much difference even 2 generations apart, as usual it's 60hz, meanwhile some random cheap android phone manufacturers managed to produce 120hz display around 250-350$, obviously not the most perfect handset u can get but they provide the important aspects that you use on a daily basis, anyone that owns a smartphone literally browse the internet everyday and what good experience to go with? Yes a higher refresh rate that makes you day lovely, apple will sell more if they actually give what the users need on daily basis, imo they're just dragging this as long as possible to milk our pockets dry, I mean whatever the case is people will still buy regardless, again with the price hike which is perfectly understandable but still there was no major upgrade to the vanilla model which is very sad in comparison to other manufacturers that actually do upgrade their vanilla models each year, btw the pro and pro max of iPhone 15 is promising tho the only saving grace to the lineup

The dynamic island ony that make the vanilla iPhone this year is expensive-to-have. So, if not urgent, I may wait for an iPhone 15/15Plus with reduced price next year.
Just in case, iPhone 16/16Plus has 90Hz display, I still buy iPhone 15/15Plus with reduced price.

Brave of GSM arena ro trash the 15, but it's good consumer advice!

USB-C 3.0 makes a major difference compared to USB 2.0 and Lightning.

Apple should have replaced vanilla and plus with mini and SE. For the price you get a full android flagship or an older iphone pro. I guess I'm right

Wow gsm turning the back on the base iphone, even apple doesnt get as much love as samsung here anymore (tbf have been saying it for months now).
They keep pushing the base s series model that basically doesnt get an upgrade from previous generation, usually no even camera sensor upgrade for years yet releases at around £850-900, same for the A series phones and flip phones too. Really suprised to see this article but it shows you the route this site is going now so prepare yourself everyone.

I was scrolling through the "big new" features that Apple listed in their release. When talking about USB-C they said something like, "and you can charge your ear buds with the phone!" I had never thought about doing that... So, I checked my Pixel 6a. Sure enough it charges my mPow Bluetooth ear buds case. Then I checked my old backup OnePlus 7T. Same thing, this 4 year old phone will charge my ear buds case. Apples marketing machine in full swing! And the sheep will think how great Apple is. Although, I will extend thanks to Apple for telling me about this capability. :)

I disagree with you: if there is no need for a large zoom, the 15 and 15 Plus are a good alternative. The iPhone 15/15Plus screen is brighter than other non-Pro models, the switch to 5nm allows for better battery life, the main photo sensor allows x2 lossless zoom that other non-Pro models do not have.
