No matter what you say iPhone stands out from its competitors because it isn’t following the crowd of other smart phones. I slid loved the fact the OS is not dependant on “google”. You keep your your android phone I’m blown away by the my new iPhone pro max. As for gaming some console big hitters later this year will also be available to play on iPhone. We also get proprietary controller support. Not a iPhone gamer myself but I thought I’d get that in. It’s all about the camera for me. Can’t wait to take some amazing photo’s when I receive my new phone on Friday.

On ... moreClearly an iPhone fan...Am not sure which Android phone you have been using over the years...but everything you said it unjust and not true. Buy yourself a flagship Android device, play a game on it and then compare. Plus your dear iPhone literally brought the 120 Hz screens on the table from the 13Pro Max onwards...So am not sure what you are on about. SnapDragon Gen 2 is in par if not better when it comes to battery performance, gaming, camera etc. Check your facts...Also any silly iPhone would cost you a kidney to buy

Honestly apart maybe the said USB C its litterary same thing as Iphone 12 pro max.
Few improvements since then i agree but nothing that stands out.
And just like 12 pro max was able to run everything smoothly back then and today same stands for new chip.
As long as the chip runs all apps and games equally fast it does not matter much whether is 5NM built or 3NM.

iphone is no-go for me: 1. No good back gesture, often must use two hands. 2. Apps on the screen auto-arranged ( can't place apps where you want, always must be from top to bottom)

Maki, 17 Sep 2023Not true. Half of basic things on this phone is not working... moreIt's called a learning curve for a reason...
You really can't blame apple for googles' software issues especially if you want to sell your data to more ecosystems. And I think you missed my point by some margin; the lack of customization in iOS is a measure against unnecessary tinkering and messing around with shady software that leads to the dumpster fire custom Android becomes over time.

Mike9625, 17 Sep 2023Hardly anyone??? Have you checked the comments section on t... more"Apple case, while not being a bad phone by any means, a lot of people just buy it because of marketing. Cuz it sells some sort of superiority, and people bite the logo on the back. "
Most people buy Samsung for same reason. It's all about brand name and brand recognition. But like you you see Samsung sales are down every year while Apple keep selling around same year after year. It just tells marketing can't help over and over again if the product isn't what users want or thought what it would be.

If you want to see the video of Cyberpunk 2077 running on a windows emulator, you can check out Redmagic's official Facebook page. It lags as hell, but on SD 8 Gen 1 (the overheating mess)? There is hope ☠️

Only dumb gamers would think anything special about the chipset on the 15 Pro/Pro Max. Raytracing has been on androids since 8 Gen 2 😒, the only interesting was the port of PC games to iOS. This doesn't mean that the A17 Pro is 100% better than the 8 Gen 2, or that the 8 Gen 2 can't run PC games [SD 8 Gen 1 with 18GB ram could run Cyberpunk 2077 with an emulator at 5 — 8FPS]. It means that developers see a more proficient gaming market in iOS compared to android. This alone puts iOS further from android in the gaming department, not a factor of massive difference in power. I just hope by 2024 (as always with androids), we can see competition in this sector with more PC games also getting ports to android

What's up with the iPhone fanboys vs Samsung diehards eating each other here in the comment section?? LMAO bunch of clowns
Look, you guys need to touch some grass. It doesn't matter if one brand is popular or being ratio'd from another brand in a smartphone competition. It's all about PREFERENCES and that matters alot where and how you live. Nobody cares if this and that is better. If you have Samsung, good for you. If you have iPhone, good for you too. At the end of the day, If I can afford it I'll buy it for sure and none anybody's opinion.
Aside from this, iPhone 15 Pro Max is definitely competitive flagship but these existing features/build have been done before by previous generations of Android, which in this case, neglected in current android and copied by Apple lol. Still this is an attractive phone and I wish I can afford it. That gaming focus what got me intrigued though.

Anonymous, 17 Sep 2023Most android users, especially the gamers group, are still ... moreAndroid sucks in gaming and has been sucking for years. On low end you have garbage chipsets barely any good as 10 year old flagship chipset and then on top you have good chipsets, but too segmented by different maker, making things difficult for developers to optimize. (Media Tek, Exynos, Snapdragon) So they just go with 1 Snapdragon chipset and that's it. If you take Apple all their chipset are super powerful comparing to garbage android low end, so no surprises for developers of iOS games is easy to make game running smoother and all those chipsets are same, you know how to work on one, you can easily optimize for other (Apple silicon after all). iOS simply destroys Android gaming and has been destroying since iPhone was invented. And now with real console games coming to iPhones, it is a game over for Android gamers, you will be playing candy crush, while Apple users will play real games, Apple just making fun of Android and it is not funny anymore 😭

A17 Pro is absolutely insane chip. It is on par with gaming laptops chipsets performance from 3 years ago like i7 10750H which is 6 core 12 thread chips, except that one is 7 times or more power hungry. Apple are really magicinas when it comes to Arm chips for mobile devices.
