So apple is dependent on everyone else bringing the technology to production and doing the heavy lifting of investing in the technology startup companies

Apple basically copies Wikipedia article for homework and change some punctuations and call it their own

Then folks like yourself get ready to accuse everyone else for copying.. the irony how the planters get the bad name in the end

Lastly you compare Huawei who has been crippled politically .. ones who helped pioneered 10X zoom than no one is yet to surpass after so many years

It ironic too because when the p series first dropped with the first ever modern version of night mode photography there was literally no other premium smartphone with an answer.. not apple or Samsung and no one said they were most competitive smartphone.. but apple uses 5x zoom and it's the best thing since slice bread

    As I do see, the i15PM isn't the most competitive Apple flagship in years, instead it is the top of competition to date. Sooner or later you will see android models coming with those copies of titanium materials (as I'm writing this, on the GSMA's searching form there's still no Titanium option included in the "Frame Material" section), copies of multi reflectors periscopic camera, copies of ceramic glass display protection, etc. Apple ain't an inventor, neither a pioneer, Apple are "only" the one that makes revolution at things, such revolutions which android vendors always copy to benefit on. Just because the i15PM downgrades its port to USB-C doesn't mean the whole thing were downgraded as well, need to remind you that i15PM switches to USB-C because it was obligated by the EU authority which is a large market for Apple to sell in, not because they intend to eat such crap. Before anyone start calling me fanboy, mind you I'm writing this on a cheap android device, yes I'm an android user but I have to be objective on assessing, that no phone models equal the i15PM level, not even Huawei's models which have come close and still couldn't reach the top level where i15PM enjoy sitting its seat.

      On the other hand, Samsung still sells more than apple so… you’re right people different than tech enthusiasts just go something that works for them. The numbers show that it will still be a samsung.
      Apple case, while not being a bad phone by any means, a lot of people just buy it because of marketing. Cuz it sells some sort of superiority, and people bite the logo on the back.
      My initial claim remains, it is delusional calling something superior when it literally does not do anything significantly better than the competition, and some of the cases worse..

        I guess not that many cares functionality based on how bad sales are for Samsung flagship phones year after year? I think it's lot more important and better tactic to make device which do stuff what majority needs and s them very well.

        Also why you put words into others mouth? I don't think hardly anyone have said periscope or oled is gimmick. I can personally say i was against Android world OLED which made everything candy colours way oversatured unnatural colours, that was problem for OLED for many years. I was little bit scared when i heard Apple will change to OLED but quite knew they will do it differently and that's exactly what happened. iPhone offered muted and very accurate natural looking OLED screen unlike the competition, iPhone OLED still looks lot like their LCD screens just little bit darker blacks and deeper colours, but otherwise they look very similar.

        Biggest problem with OLED for many years was very saturated red, for my eyes it always looked horrible, i think that's been fixed already years ago. IPhone OLED never had that which was big relief.

By 2030 when apple finally gets them? 🤡 as gimmicky as the periscope cam was almost 5 years ago, or Oled screens for 10 years until the iPhone X got them? You, iPhone fanboys are delusional. The only thing to hide behind year after year is, “we have the fastest chip in a smartphone” not even usable to close all the apps at once, or to properly use pip. Btw, I’ve been using iPhones as back up phones since the 6 eras. Gotta admit they are durable and rarely slow down. But when it comes ti functionality, Samsung is miles ahead.

            At the end of the day, it's still a fun feature, putting aside the quality

I just corrected the guys post who said iPhone have 15x zoom. I think 25x zoom is very useless because the quality will be horrible in that range. But well i can test it when i get it.

Also your phone is probably rhe best screen toy have in your house and is the most multi purpose device you'll have too (its a phone, tv, console, music player, modem, camera etc).

                    I use my phone mostly as my main screen for content, youtube, disney plus, music streaming services and it perform far better (loading, swapping apps, more apps you have access too) vs a tv, even against most tablets (unless you're spending like £1.5k on a s9 ultra or ipad pro).

                    I do agree foldables are pointless, just an average phone that turns in to an average tablet.

And th... moreThe zoom "gimmicks" are great. 30x is very usable and even 100x has been useful for me already. S-Pen is something I use daily. Other than that, everything the guy you answered to is a genuine upside: The Dynamic Island takes up a ton of space, even more arguably than the Notch did preciously as it's pretty far down in the display. The S23 Ultras front camera is a lot less intrusive. Dex is nice, perfect for my recent stay at a friends house for checking out the photos I took on their TV. Android at this point kinda wins, even Apple fans admitted that the S23 Ultra is nice and it simply offers more, you even get updates for many years so not even that is a real advantage for Apple anymore. You probably won't go wrong with the Pro iPhones, but in a straight up comparison, it's hard to justify the prices Apple sets especially in Europe

                                  I am not an iPhone fan (never owned one but my wife likes it) but the fact it's getting optimised ports of triple AAA console games with ray tracing and reportedly at 30fps at 1150p resolution such as resident evil village, final fantasy Crisis core and death stranding is a statement, while o do own PlayStation 5, 4 pro and even a switch, it's possible that next generation switch 2 might not offer ray tracing but time with tell.
