But yeah those incompatibility with x86_64 is also such a dealbreaker. Looks like Rosetta 2 is not really a big deal.

Because many people think ... moreiOS itself is not a bad OS. But there are some cons that holds me to use an iPhone as my daily driver (currently use it as my backup phone though):
1. On the home screen, you're forced to put the apps on the top off the screen first, while this is a bit inconvinient for me as a one-hand use. Thanksfully you can use widget to move the apps down (such a life saver), but if only iPhone allows you to change your launcher, it would be awesome.
2. There are some apps that I can't uninstall. I know that it's just spent like many MBs, but it's just bothered my eyes. Those are Wallets, Safari (I use Chrome more), and Messaging (I use WhatsApp & Discord more).
3. Speaks about browser, hate it when I'm stuck with WebKit-based browser. No matter what browser do you use on your iPhone/iPad, it's all based on the same WebKit engine. Plus, I can't even change my default browser from Safari. I mean, why?

If you are not using iOS, do not like iOS, do not want to try iOS, why should you buy iPhone? And even worse, telling everyone that iPhone bla bla bla...
Everyone in this world know that iPhone is expensive.

But if you are an owner of Macbook, you should surely be in the Apple ecosystem. Ofc, it is not a must, some people out there use Macbook only, because they think that Macbook is better for graphic works.
If I can advice, it is better to choose the equal laptop (or even better laptop) for any works.

I never seen anyone buy a MacBook "because it runs MacOS", but more like "because it runs with Apple M1/M2, one of the most efficient laptop chip" or anything else related to hardware. Hardware matters, because your software runs on it.

It's Apple simply price gouging to speculate on the exchange rate (to maximize their profit in case there's any fluctuation during the iPhone life cycle). And in general, Apple simply tack on addition 30+%, on top of taxes, even in countries where there are only authorized distributors (No Apple stores). This is not about regulation, taxes, or cost of business, it's simply gouging to get more margins (while safeguarding from exchange rate volatility).

Imo, Apple should just call it "iPhone 15 Max" without the Pro. It's a much simpler name that conveys the same thing (i.e. that Max > Pro > Plus > Vanilla).

We have 23% IV... moreOur VAT is 25%. Pretty big tax for a small country, don't you think? But it's not big enough to justifie that difference.
iPhone in Germany is 27% more than in US, with 19% VAT included, in Croatia it's 41% more than in US.
