In Romania, this years Pro is some 60 euro cheaper compared to last years launch prices and the difference between 14 and 15 is a nobrainer if you buy new.

In Taiwan, salaries are low compared to the west, and while Apple has kept prices the same for the vanilla 15 models in USA, they cost an extra $170 here (it was 'only' $100 extra for the iPhone 14). Almost $1000 for a phone that - even though it has an amazing display - is stuck at 60hz with some of the slowest charging speeds for USB.
I was an Apple fan for several years, and I ended up just slowly selling all my Apple devices. They've become as bland as Tim Cook; Johnny Ive should have been CEO (maybe he refused it).

Unpopular opinion: if I had 1000 € lying around, I'd buy the 512 15 pro max (+ selling my s23 ultra).
This is the 1st iPhone since 4 that peaked my interest.
With the least dealbreakers so far (slow charging, unbereable Windows-iOS communication, notch, cannot download files while floating on other apps - I don't care much about customization).
These dealbreakers are so minor that they're fixable within a generation or 2.
Getting dangerously close to jumping the ship.
Meanwhile, Samsung is giving me each year less and less reason to stay with them, with other Android manufacturers out of the question due to poor software support.

Its not just the Android OS that is the commonality between many of those devices, if you take a step back and simply look at the hardware and specs, you find that 90% of the plethora of devices and variants that most Android oems pump out on pretty much a daily bases are themselves 90% similar to each other, and do 99% the same thing.
And yet you get commenters on this site arguing tooth and nail all day long over which is best, and why everyone else should take their word for it. Then making a bunch of assumptions and derogatory comments about those still that may choose otherwise.
The iPhone 15 will sell to those it appeals to, anyone else will look elsewhere. Each to their own.

iPhone is the only one phone in this world that use iOS. So, the buyers do not buy a phone (well in this case, iPhone) but they buy iOS for their own daily needs. Thats why not everyone buy the Pro series, even some buyers buy the SE series.
The iOS is the essential thing and Tlthe all hardware of iPhone are the bonus.
If the buyers do not need iOS, they have plenty of choices of Android phones. It is normal when comparing the Android phones based on the hardwares used because the Android OS is more/less similar among those phones.
