Anonymous, 16 Sep 2023HDR10+ does not mean the display is 10-bit. Samsung is one ... moreSamsung is the first company in the world in producing screens. It has sufficient experience to produce the best screens on any phone ever. Everyone knows that Super AMOLED and Dynamic AMOLED screens are the first screens in terms of quality, colours, clarity and brightness, so I think it is not important for the screens to be 10-bit.

But yea, a34 isn't far off. The only thing for sure is that all 3 will have bad build quality since Samsung flagships usually can't hold more than one or 2 drops. They just break like a soggy biscuit

L.O.R.D, 16 Sep 2023Pretty colours for the A54 UltraFunny thing, the MediaTek chip on the a34 performs better than the Exynos on the a54,and u you can speck both with either 6/128gig or 8/256gig so the a54 really doesn't have any advantage over the a34 and the a34 has a slightly bigger screen,so this wud technically be the a34 ultra,😂😂

It also depends on the price, if this is priced like $700 then it's a bad deal because after all it's just an A54 with better chipset. So around $500 maybe it's a good deal but not any more than that

HyperionBurn, 16 Sep 2023how cheap would it have to be to be worth buying? also the ... moreThe chin doesn't, the side bezels do. About 500 usd, at max, but as I said, it should be less than the price of an S22+ is right now.
It's also not about this phone looking bad, or not, but simply the fact that similarly priced phones look better, and most are better. Including the S21 FE, and the whole S22,S23 series.

Sam N8 808 owner, 16 Sep 2023I think you're mistaken. If its HDR10 compliant, its 1... moreHDR10+ does not mean the display is 10-bit. Samsung is one of the last few phone makers still stuck with 8-bit screens across all their phones, from A04 all the way up to the S23 Ultra.
Does the 10-bit display make that much of a difference? For the majority, it will look exactly the same as 8-bit.
Does that mean Samsung should keep using 8-bit screens everywhere? Absolutely not. If the technology is so widely available that every other flagship uses it, there's no excuse for them not to use 10-bit screens at least in the S series.

There are 0 adventages to the S23 FE, unless it's going to be cheaper than the S22+, in which case it could be a good deal, but I doubt it.

Anonymous, 16 Sep 2023Thin bezels can have some disadvantagesLike what?
The talk isn't about curved screens here, just flat with thin bezels. Haven't heard of anyone having issues with their S22/S22+ or S23/S23+ when it comes to the display.
