When comparing to Apple, I think it is more representative to compare Android flagships and "flagship killers" with Apple products when it comes to support.
If you see things from that perspective, I think it is safe to say that with at least the top five Android companies, you know what you are getting and for how-long, in terms of support.
As for half-baked updates, again I see your point but it's not as if as Apple's are always polished and free of bugs (case in point see the recent issue with iPhone 12 in Europe).

Theres always a much bigger chance to be left waiting for support on the Android side. And even updates come they are halfbaked. And there will always be issues when you try to mesh software and hardware from different sources.
Ironically not even Googles own products are free from problems.

First, there is brand loyalty, i.e. people who buy Apple will most likely continue buy Apple while in Android, customers switch easlier among brands without leaving the Android ecosystem. Then, there is brand equity: The "status" and the "trust" associated (rightly, or wrongly) with Apple. There are several top-tier Android phones with excellent build, camera, screen, processor quality but in many parts of the world, people will not choose them "because they're not Apple", which is still consider by many an "aspirational" brand.
Lastly, for better or worse, Apple has built an ecosystem that for the average consumer - who is not necessarily tech savvy - makes things much easier, e.g. pairing airpods and switching between devices. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that all the above are right but at the same time it seems to me that the reasons people buy Apple have less and less to do with the actual products.

If Realme or OnePlus or Motorola, or whatever, would have the same things, people will buy them in similar numbers as iPhones.

I think you are making false statements, based on nothing.
Internet and social media is not all bad, you just need to know how to filter things.
Also, there are a lot of people with Android flagship phones who don't use them at their full power. So, I think everything is just in your mind.

Easy to explain. Last year the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus were disappointing, but that was the first time. This year, they are bad again and people immediately jump to the Pro range and at that point, you might aswell consider the best of the best.

That's a true point, I see you are making some senses.
My concern here is that I know Apple will sell as usual but the sales for each line up as before won't be same.
If you can remember the BAN in some areas under some circumstances and their lack of changing external looks after so many yrs.
Stop been a defender for a brand (of which the brand owner never knows you exist) yet some of you strongly hold onto it. Then when you run out of ideas to defend yourself, you show up with Rudeness, like "you must be a APPLE Hater! "
Why will someone hate an item when He/She has the God's (cash) to make it His/Her own possession.
Then if anyone dares to talk about his experience over Apple been a negative option for them, then He is POOR like "Just confess you can't afford it bro" 😂like serious!
The worst part is when you ran out of ideas to prove an opinion (either wrong or right) you conclude by raining insults.... See! what is it? do you want to fight by using keyboard as weapons?
