Furkan, 18 Sep 2023I think Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 = Snapdragon 7 Gen 1No way! The 7 Gen 1 is more powerful soc in all areas. This 7s Gen 2 is misfit in 7 gen lineup or just sits below 7 gen 1 but with misleading naming. 😑

AnonD-546724, 18 Sep 2023Misleading marketing at its finest Mobile phones have been pretty stagnant in the past few years. And processors are hitting a ceiling with the 3nm(not that the transistors are actually 3nm in size) process so it seems inevitable that they will rehash old stuff and market as new for the next few years also.

If by some miracle this chip turns out to be super efficient and if Xiaomi decide to offer longer support(like on the 13T which will allegedly offer 5 years) on the Redmi note 13 series it could be worth considering going back to the budget/midrange. The note 12 series did not show any noteworthy battery life which was a shame. At least in testing and reviews battery life was very average.
