FYI, Itel A70 is launched in Indonesia, and it priced less than IDR 1mio (USD 70) here.

one of the most unique and balanced smartphones for this price (its just 193 us dollars equivalent in nigeria). some of you should realise its not always about having the best chipset but differentiating yourself from other phones in the same class

              You couldn't disable the app.
I used a Tecno Pop 2F that had a shady launcher with an app called Aha games that would install games without permission before that. However, that app was removable.

Switched from Tecno and Infinix to Samsung. Havent been disappointed with my Galaxy F22 so far

Strange how it physically resembles the Spark 10 and has a name similar to Samsung

They've been making phones for years and have always been very successful in their markets. You just didn't know. That doesn't make them a flop, or a new brand.

"I highly doubt that screen really is a 1080p AMOLED seeing the rest of the specs.."

Why, and how? The chipset is more than powerful enough to handle a 1080p(+) display, it's almost as powerful as the Snapdragon 680, which is great at this price point. The display is curved, so it can not be anything, but AMOLED. There are plenty of reviews about it already on YouTube, inform yourself before you start fabricating lies about a device.

Like come on, of all the letter combinations they used S23+ exactly? Is this really their 23rd iteration of a phone? Or they just use it to fool clueless buyers?

Nairaland forum does not seem too pleased or impressed with this handset given some of the users precedent with Itel devices

Itel brand name cheapens the phone no matter the specs and hardware. Transsion should look for better names for their devices other than Tecno,Inifinix,Itel or whatever they them out there.

                          ONLY 6.78 ?? and calling + ??? Cmoon where is 7'' phone?? Once I had 7.2'' phone !

404, 20 Sep 2023The chipset is actually pretty capable for more than that.well its a Unisoc Tiger T616 12nm so i guess it gets the job done and can for sure play games but itll probably stutter here and there etc
but for 120$ its pretty decent overall
on other brands for 120$ you get the design of a 5 year old phone with the same chipset so i aint complaining about the itel s23+

I highly doubt that screen really is a 1080p AMOLED seeing the rest of the specs and how this flop brand just randomly appeared out of nowhere and started making 50 phones with popular names

However I don't think this phone is generating any profit, it's more just meant to get the iTel name out, and that they can actually make more "premium" devices.

                                    1. Imitating the camera bump of the iPhone (might barely reduce costs)
                                    2. Calling the phone the "S23+" (no cost because it's a name, except for the inevitable Samsung lawsuit)
                                    3. Adding a dynamic island, which is a whole new unnecessary cost.

Why do all of these phones that have incredible specs for the price also want to imitate Apple and Samsung. Can't they stand on their own merits? But seriously, 256GB UFS storage and T616 chipset is unbeatable at this price.
