I like fold phone so much

justasmile, 25 Sep 2023While it possibly can be a bestseller, it’s only because of... moreNot only ladies but also ladyboys and many else people.

Its good being different and its good having something trully unique.
    Same boring design everywhere.
Finaly a phone which is a lot better in beautification factor.
Since my Lenovo Vibeshot from 2015 and Motorola X4 from 2017 i did not saw much phones which were looking like a master piece of art the only exception were Vertu brand and some limited editions like Van Gogh phone etc.

The phone looks promising but Software support is a mazor thing and although Techno has promised, I'm not sure how much they can keep that, based on their history.

22:9 aspect ratio is horrible imo. You will not watch any type of video without black bars. Not to mention that half of your screen will be black when watching 16:9 youtube vids...

The price is competitive but I am not sure about the support this phone will get. It looks better than the standard Razr I think, they are about the same price.

I'm still not a fan of foldable phones. They look cool but they have too many drawbacks compared to regular slabs.
              - extremely fragile interior display
              - crease in the middle
              - no 3.5mm jack
              - no SD card slot
              - weird aspect ratio making the foldable design useless (especially for watching videos, yt) - especially on the Fold

Although I'm still not a fan of foil-able devices this form factor is the one that makes more sense. I will only opt for one when they will get democratized. This one is only a step in the good direction, prize wise. The review of it seems ok but still a tad too expensive while being only ok. On the other hand, all these foil-able devices are just a nightmare when it comes to reparability (and it will probably always be).

it is still fragile - should have been an option.

Cpt.Power, 24 Sep 2023No need to do that i know its a best seller. While it possibly can be a bestseller, it’s only because of its aesthetics.

Some ladies don’t care about the specs, they only care about how it looks, that’s just dumb.

Lol.ivan, 24 Sep 2023Motorola uses sd7g1 which is... meh Yeah definitely this... moreD8050 is worse than SD 7 gen 1 in efficiency, prime core of D1200/1300 use lot of power and all phones with this soc fail to sustain performance even though it's not that powerfull soc. This flip get really hot and can sustain around 64% of its performance.

It looks.... Unique. I guess. But not in a good way.
The European price will never be 700 euros. Firstly, it'll most likely stay vapourware like 99% of these Chinese paper launches, and then there is the tax situation and expenses and need for revenue if they'd actually ever try sell it.

Nope. Foldables are still prone to damage within a year, and that's with the well known brands like Samsung. Tecno's support and reliability is unproven with this. I'll wait until the 3rd or 4th gen to see the reliability of the 1st/2nd gen after a year or two.

Also, foldables without proper software to support it is meaningless.

The cheap price of course is interesting but what about software/android update, service center and spare parts? Because techno in my country sucks about that three things.
