The Phantom brand sticks to the affordable side of premium, but did it get the value-for-money balance right with the V Flip?

"Is the Tecno Phantom V Flip the foldable you've been looking for?"

If the second implicit question includes the word "cheap", then yes. And Tecno is giving that. It has flaws, but what flip phone doesn't has? I was never into foldable hype, but I got access to some Samsung and the size of these phones when closed are definitely attractive for my needs.

I hope other brands start doing the same move and bring flip and foldable phones into midrange. Not everyone can pay the absurd amount of money in certain phones mentioned in this poll, but I'm sure they would try to squeeze their pockets a tiny bit if a foldable or flip phone has more value, and a price that's not absurdly higher than a normal phone.

Just imagine a Xiaomi doing a Redmi Flip with decent midrange specs and selling it for $450.

Motorola uses sd7g1 which is... meh

Yeah definitely this one's worth it as much as i hate the dimensity 1000 getting rebadged for the 5th time already

            Decent value for money

For its price is definitely a best seller among foldables and flipables just like Honor Purse.
Other so called competitors apart a very high price have nothing to woth the price.

Fir the price I'd rather get a moto razr 40. Better specs and a nicer design. Clamshell foldables aren't as useful as book style or regular bar phones. So I'd prefer to get a Clamshell foldable that actually looks nice.

Personally, I won't go for such a flip phone. Their pre-installed screen protectors just peel off very easily despite rare usage, and specs are heavily compromised for those expensive parts.

I'd rather go for a small bar phone. While you can't fold it, it is less compromised on specs.

the dimensity soc is enough to put me off. outside that, until a clamshell gets a 3.5mm i'll never entertain getting one, as interesting as they are.

                      Actually I like this flip.
Seriously not that costly and great performance .

Will get good showcase for my shop😏

                        Can't complain at that price.

$650 for a clamshell foldable, Now imagine if this market is getting better... every brand will make the most attractive and cheap ones. And later we could see a $300 foldable.

Good thing from Tecno they started with a cheap price.

It's a good start if you ask me

Techno is going for the kill with these prices
