Teardown video shows the Huawei Mate 60 Pro components that shouldn't be there

19 September 2023
Sanctions should have made a 7nm Huawei chip impossible and that RAM hasn't been available to Huawei for years. Yet there they are.

Anonymous, 20 Sep 2023Why are they using SK Hynix instead of YMTC?????They have stock piled memory chips. After that run out they will likely partner with Chinese companies like ymtc. Apple only retreated from using ymtc chips after US sanction so I'm pretty ymtc is capable of supplying chips to Huawei. They recently developed the first 300+ layer NAND BTW.

I'm curious about the successor to the 9000S. How long? How fast?

Go tell all chinese companies to ONLY use chinese invented parts (no Android, no Sony/Samsung sensor, no Samsung display, no Qualcomm, etc.) and see who is the really innovative ones.

I cannot wait for the best phone company in the world to come back and crush its competitors. US sanctions are a mere speed bump and they will come back stronger and meaner than before. US/Apple innovation is dead and further attempts by the US to protect its precious fruit company and its flailing tech sector are futile.

Claims like Huawei is a dead company are laughable and only an ignorant person would make such a claim. Huawei is the largest telecom equipment manufacturer even with sanctions in place so even if their phone business collapsed, Huawei will still be a big company. Furthermore, Huawei is one of the most innovative technology companies in the world weather one likes it or not. In fact, they currently hold more patents for 5G technology than any other company, so if they wanted, they could stop manufacturing telecom equipment but still earn a lot of money from royalties.

That skHyinix RAM/memory chip is years old LPDDR5 not newest 5X and it could be the stockpile that Huawei bought before the sancation. After the hynix stock dry out, Huawei may replace SKHynix chip with domestic suplier because china have their own nand/memory company.
