Teardown video shows the Huawei Mate 60 Pro components that shouldn't be there

19 September 2023
Sanctions should have made a 7nm Huawei chip impossible and that RAM hasn't been available to Huawei for years. Yet there they are.

Anonymous, 19 Sep 2023who cares, it was still up to those countries whether or no... moreYou are funny, aren't you? 🤣 imagine giving stuff to the needy or homeless for "free" or as a kind gesture. Then years later you come back asking for the a full repayment of such gesture.

So some fresh news from China about the Kirin 9000s:

After the HarmonyOS 4.0.0.118 update, the extra performance of the 12 threads in the Kirin 9000s was unlocked. Some sources are claiming that the performance jump is as big as 50%.

Also in Geekbench single-core tests, the Kirin 9000s (post update) scored higher than the SD 8 Gen 1 (1263 for the 8 Gen 1 vs 1470 for the Kirin 9000s post update).

Before the update it scored lower than the SD855 (965 for the SD 855 vs 960 for the Kirin 9000s before the update), so that's a huge jump in performance.

The SKHynix mistery might be solved easily: Huawei DIDN'T used all their stock and used on the Mate 60 series.

So yeah, Huawei might bought an overstock of those memories and then used it years later.

The processor thing might be a different story.

Saying Huawei shouldn't have these components for their phones is like saying Russia can't get aircraft parts for their planes. They absolutely can, just not officially and not via official purchases.

Although this begs the question. With the Mate 40 RS' SFS storage proving to be VERY powerful and in-house made, why isn't Huawei using that?

anydays now we'll see hynix's office getting raided by the intelligence service lmao.

wumaos have been saying the Mate 60 are 100% indigenous and yet just look at this article. it reminds me of how Kim Jong-Un got his Mercs through various sanction evasion tactics.
