Teardown video shows the Huawei Mate 60 Pro components that shouldn't be there

19 September 2023
Sanctions should have made a 7nm Huawei chip impossible and that RAM hasn't been available to Huawei for years. Yet there they are.

DarlingYext, 19 Sep 2023Where did ZTE copy the under display camera technology from?is that a question or do you know the answer?

some people here are just too sour about it, this dude saying they have to make their own tech, they already did. you don't know what you are saying.

I recall they had stocked up on chips-one of the consequences of the ban (and this was before COVID) that the shortages began to show up...and now teardown folks are surprised lol

[deleted post]The article literally shows that (garbage phone->) Huawei uses BLACKMARKET SK Hynix RAM.

To see someone still supports huawei is one proof that humanity suffers from demoralization.

Go make your own tech huawei!

Anonymous, 19 Sep 2023What's a Huawei ? Never heard of them before... lol, you might have used some of their networking devices before without knowing

That why they only released this in Chinese market because of limited availability of the components.

Those RAM might come from Mate 40 series or recycle phones or buy from other Chinese oem with extra markup pricing. Oh Huawei is also active doing a trade-in promotion for the past 2-3 years. They accept any others oem phones.

Don't think there's any real mystery about the Kirin 9000s chip itself. It's already known to be SMIC manufactured. I think the US is just surprised that Huawei and SMIC were able to produce a 5g capable processor of this level

There are only 6 brands that are working on this technology currently, it's been 11 years and Sony stil isn't one of those, and 5 out of those 6 brands are chinese.

It's obvious they stocked up on the sk chips so they could use the time to make another kirin chipset.

can someone explain how a country (US) can force other companies outside US (JAPAN/KOREA) not to sell components to Huawei? who covered their losses all these years?
