It's really long zoom, shorter zoom is lot more versatile and going to be used lot more. I completely understand if Samsung want to ditch the 10x if everything between 3,1-9,9 looks worse. But i understand it might be big punch to sammy fans face who are all about bigger numbers even i things where it doesn't even make anything better.

This motivates other manufacturers to put their efforts into it, I imagine that Samsung is coming up with something big for 2024 and downgrading the periscope to 5x I don't think it will happen, better give us a 12x... Let's see what Google brings next week ...if I don't like it I'm going to buy the 15 pro Max for next year

Very likely everywhere else too, Pro max is impossible to get currently.
Have to say i'm very surprised how light the new Pro models feels. Pro Max feels around same weight than smaller 14 Pro!

I'm not surprised, the price of an iPhone in China is cheap and almost the same as in the US. they have lots of stores there, easy to buy, service and so on... even the factory is there.
BBK also does this in Indonesia and they can have the largest market share here.

Top10 best sellers between jan-jun/23 were all iphones and galaxy.
Not even a low end chinese made it.
