Lumia 1020 everyone :D

potato4k, 02 Oct 2023Just a gimmick accessories nobody will use. It’s too cumber... moreLG's accessories or Moto Mods were ecosystems and had to be actively maintained by the manufacturers themselves, whereas this one is just a case that allows the other existing ecosystem (essentially every accessory that uses 67mm filter thread) to be used with 13 Ultra's camera system. Xiaomi does not have to make this case compatible with any product other than 13 Ultra and could release another case for 14 Ultra next year with the same filter thread size. After all, you won't be swapping parts around between those two phones, and it's not like you actually have to buy high end phones two years in a row.

While I don't like the overall design of this case (A slippery grip, no extra dials to quickly change settings), it makes sense as a product for anyone who wants to use it as a snap camera as it improves ergonomics, and allows you to use the accessory you like and keep it attached to the body for the whole time. It's certainly niche but I see its appeal.

YUKI93, 02 Oct 2023Jokes on you. I'm also Malaysian, and I know a lot of ... moreAs a current Sony Xperia 1 iv owner who switched from Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, I can easily say that I never miss my old Samsung phone. I'm not even interested in going back to it.

I did have a look at the latest Xperia 1 v. While I do love it, I'll wait for 1 vi or 1 vii to arrive before I replace my current 1 iv.

Also, you don't have to build a Moto Mods to satisfy the rear camera. The Hasselblad Moto Mods True Zoom completely blocks off the rear camera.

potato4k, 02 Oct 2023Just a gimmick accessories nobody will use. It’s too cumber... moreI don't see this as a gimmick since I always shoot photos on my phone, and having the capability to use an ND filter is absolutely helpful when the phone's camera doesn't have variable aperture.

You might have a point on the last bit. Most smartphone brands always keep changing the design every year. If Xiaomi made a new one for next year's 14 Ultra, then this thing would rendered obsolete.

When is the phone that was supposed to be globally released 3 years ago, become globally available? So far we only get the pro models.

Naveen Chaudhary, 01 Oct 2023Moto Z series ecosystem was the perfect modular system. Mot... moreStill love the Moto Mods solution to this day. I own the Gamepad and the Polaroid Insta-Share, and it's an absolute joy to use both accessories without ever the need for Bluetooth.

Anonymous, 01 Oct 2023Underwhelming, why no interchangeable lens? Have you ever seen a Full Frame or APS-C sensor on a phone? Exactly, there isn't one. The best compromise is to make a detachable camera system, as Sony had done with the QX1 about a decade ago.

Anonymous, 02 Oct 2023kind of useless , just buy real cameraContrary to what you think, some people have abandoned DSLR/Mirrorless cameras and now only use smartphones as their primary photography gear. There are even awards for mobile photography so that pretty much says it all.

I'm also Malaysian, and I know a lot of Malaysian friends who own Sony Xperia, including the ones who came from Samsung and Apple. I even know someone who owns a Pro-I. So much for "dead brand".

With the phone's circular camera design, there's no way it can't take a 67mm filter. Any true photographer can understand how much impact a simple ND and CPL filter can make on the photo quality, especially in Manual mode.

Gsmarena should have taken photos in conditions when CPL filter actually would be highly beneficial, then show with and without. That little bounce light from a leaves, seriously?
Why not of a shiny and highly reflective glass building?

If this is the "best cameraphone" in 2023 then sellers of real cameras must be rubbing their hands right now.

Lot of existing Huawei users having a hard time changing to other brand, they always go back to Huawei. If they migrating, it will be to Honor Magic 5 Pro (close to Huawei ecosystem).

Do you know exclusively for Malaysia, Huawei got 'Lighthouse' app can be installed thru Appgallery? By using that, Google apps can be use without any problem. Its one of the reason people here still stick with it. 5G is a loss & thats a fact.

One thing for sure, no one interesting in Sony Xperia. Here its a dead brand.

Yes and Yes! I might pickup the 13 Ultra to replace my aging P40.

Anonymous, 01 Oct 2023These photos are really bad.Ahaha it's true. I have a Samsung A52 with GCam and it takes far superior photos.

Maybe the MPs are higher or what but the photos are nothing special.
