This is the first time since Xperia Z5 Premium (Z5 and Z5 Compact went on sale in USA in 2016) that Sony didn't bring its flagships to the USA market and first phone since Xperia 10 II and their successors that Sony didn't bring the entire series into the USA as well.

If Xiaomi tries to enter the US market they're going to be Huawei'ed out of the phone business. It's time for the iPhone monopoly here to end.

Guess is Zenfone 9/10 thenZenfone 9/10 both are same size as standard iphone and standard Samsung S class
Based on body size only. As for Zenfone 9/10 both have smaller screen then standard iphone and Samsung S class with there 6.1 inch screen. You get 0.2inch smaller screen with Zenfone with the same size body as standard iphone or Samsung S22/23

Even standard iphones are smaller then any of Sony phones. Sony Xperia 10 V is 9mm taller then standard iphone with it's same size screen as standard iphone.
Sony Xperia 10 IV is 7mm taller then standard iphone with smaller screen as 6.0 inch.
Compact is measured by phone size and not by screen size.
Iphone mini failed cause it was too expensive as it was only 100 dollars less then standard iphone. There was no point to buy mini when standard iphone was small enout and there was also SE series that was a lot cheaper and also smaller then standard iphone.
The use of compact phone dont make sense it to be a flagship with all the flagship specs and price. Compact phones are mainly used for communication and not social media and gaming where you want larget screen for easier typing and also that your fingers wont block most of the screen.

If new folds have better cameras, like rumored oppo n3, there is less and less reason to buy a small screen device instead of big screen small device.
Change may happen nxt year or even before Christmas.
Fold with comparable camera performance will mean the end of brick era, start of pancake era.

I wnat to sit with Sony exec and see how they plan things and everything, like who takes these decisions, and why they still never fixed their announcement / availability problem, also there is basically no advertising at all of Sony phones, only PlayStation stuff

Here, samsung has huge trade-in. Discounts are giant.
Motorola trade-in is too shity. Phone with just couple months of use is evaluated as 1/6 of its original price, even if in perfect conditions.
