Anonymous, 27 Sep 2023Ppl in USA dont care about unlocked phones. It's true. Why would I pay $1500 for an Xperia when I can trade in a 2-3 year old phone to T-Mobile and get an S23 Ultra for $200-300?

Sony was really slow in bringing the Xperia 1 IV to the US last year. They must not sell many units here since most people get their phones from their carrier

David, 27 Sep 2023They know it would dead on arrival in the US. Only Asia and... moreActually they prefer bigger and more expensive phones in US. 1 series outsells 5 by some huge margin and US is the best selling market for original $2,000 Xperia PRO and Xperia PRO-I and both are still on sale over there. As a matter of fact PRO-I is only $999 which is a great price.

Obvious. It was not listed on Sony USA website after being announced.
And no one there got it to review.

Sony should make 1 series their base model. Sell only devices with 4K screen.

          For 2024 should be :

          1 vi : $1300-1500
          1 vi Flip : $1600-1700
          Pro-i 2 : $2000

They know it would dead on arrival in the US. Only Asia and maybe Europe still has enough loyalty to Sony to buy a phone that is so overpriced. Also they don’t like compact flagships over there, like how the iPhone Mini flopped.

Such a stubborn and unambitious company. Half the mobile division should be fired.

                  Too bad

Sony the king of failing to market products?
