darknite, 09 May 2013This is not androidYou are most certainly correct. It is indeed not android. As much as Symbian isn't, or anything related since its existence.

It's nice to see that there is still focus in budget phones, for a while, budget phones market was stalled, everyone was focusing on flagships.

All you guys bashing this phone for having low specifications, remember that this is an Asha model. That's the budget/low-price line of Nokia. If you want better specs, get a Lumia.

          Goood phone
          Goood apps
          Goood battery

The price they said in the conference was 99USD+Taxes which in India should be 99*54 = 5346 + tax say at-least 5% so 5346*(105/100)= 5613.3 approx should be the retain price when it comes to India that is mid of June..

Wow, they call it Innovation. Next release, they should put 1.5in dot matrix screen, 1G & old radial dialer to Asha release model & the fan will call it....wow super duper futuristic Innovation...

Ah, Nokia. You made this device with no AF camera and no LED flash (no torch). Also no Gorilla Glass. Why not take 6303's AF camera and put it into this one? Guess you're afraid of cannibalising Lumia sales, eh?

I like this phone, cause of just few things.t
                  1. OS. I know it's just the same S40, but I love the looks of it, how much it is user-friendly. And one thing, I rarely see on feature-phone OS. Smoothness! There's no lag at all, though there's only 64MB RAM. I had Samsung Star and LG KP500 and their OS is laggy. But this is awesome!
                  2. Price. 99 bucks? Incredible for this kind of phone! Wi-Fi, Awesome OS, etc. I've searched for this kinda phone for low price, and here it is.
Just saying. Don't bash Nokia, cause of low-specs. IT IS ONLY THE BEGINNING! Maybe they'll announce 4'' WVGA Pureview Asha someday (K, maybe that's too much, but it's possible). Just wait!

That's great. The new Series 40 is now more and more similar to what Symbian used to be. Swipe gestures similarly to MeeGo added too. That's great innovation. Go Asha OS!

This phone comes with a complete new Asha Platform 2.0, combining the inspirarion from Meego, symbian and Lumia. This is just the beginning of the new platform and this is just lowest of the device many more will come. Only better.

The new Asha platform looks more like MeeGo and Symbian combined. Put it on a 4" phone and will destroy Windows Phone and Lumia line! Elop, why did you distroy the best version of Symbian and MeeGo to come up after 2 years with a platform similar to them??? Did you just wanted to make room for fail Windows Phone OS???
