Symbian is still a fully functional O/S its the bloody ovi/nokia store thats awful and unusable..They should have kept symbian and poured money into the app store..Symbian still has Gravity, calenders ,true multitasking, very low power efficiency,notes,decent cameras video and microphones and on and on..Up the CPU AND GPU and up the memory for GPU and relaunch series 80 third edtion sliders and clamshells.

There was a time when Nokia were the undisputed leader and did make the best phones and consequently commanded the highest price tags and no one complained. Now it seems they are reduced to making low end feature phones for people who don't want, or cannot afford, IOS or Android phones. It's not like Windows phone is exactly a runaway success for them either.

nokia is somehow stupid to have killed the symbian platform! It was big with loads of apps. Now asha this asha that. F__k that. I wish nokia would change this and soon..

I think this just sums up where Nokia have now sunk to. HTC, Samsung, LG and Sharp are all bringing out excellent Smart phones for Android. Apple fans are talking about the iPhone 5S and Blackberry finally ahs the Z10 smart phone. What is Nokia's great fanfare announcement? A cheap 2G only phone with a 3 inch display and only 2 home screens, running a proprietary O/S that looks like a Symbian phone from 5 years ago!
