I actually hold this case yesterday in my hand, from a friend who bought the iphone 15 pro. It actually feels pretty nice to touch and hold. The problem here is durability and price!
I think after 3-4 months it'll be in bad shape and €69 for this Apple? (yeah it costs €69 in Europe...$73)!

It would have been much nicer if Apple opted for Desertto instead, an actual "vegan" leather that is mostly made out of cactus and lasts longer than most other synthetic leathers. This FineWoven or whatever the f*** this is, it's simply an embarrassment. It can get soaked with any liquid and scratch easily (and scars look bad on this material), this is just Microsoft's Alcantara crap all over again except this one will look even cheaper and dirtier as it wears and tears.
You can't just replace a proven material with a vastly inferior solution just for the sake of "environmental protection", a poorly thought-out move like this in fact could keep people away from any other types of substitutional materials in future. Try harder, Apple.

no strong feelings about leather.
the finewoven stuff seems nice though. I like cloth-like material.
The internet, however, is exaggerating the problems with finewoven. How typical.

Another holier than thou marketing gimmick. The processing of a polymer based product like this and its disposal ALWAYS always have an negative environmental impact, not to mention the questionable beginnings of their raw materials. Perhaps the durability will outlast leather in which case that would be an improvement. Certainly it will up the profit margins which of course is the business Apple is in.

No leather. Huh, guess we gotta throw all that leather we get from every single cow that's ever farmed for meat away. Most people don't think it that far through though. It's actually worse to get rid of leather. You're just throwing out more of the animal.
