A 1mm titanium band bonded to an aluminium frame to be precise but it doesn't roll off the marketing department's tongue as well as "Titanium forged" A lot will be disappointed when they read through the hype and words to find out that Apple hasn't been totally honest about it 🤔

Second, these tests are meant to simulate ACCIDENTS; like when your phone slips out of your pocket (although some are extreme use cases). Anonymous, 02 Oct 2023Plastic is worse with heat transfer and traps it. Phones sh... moreBut glass's thermal conductivity isn't that much better, it still is an insulator, thermally there isn't much benefit over plastic. Also, plastic cases negate any benefit if there was.
Ideally we should use metal as it ticks all the boxes, but wireless charging people don't want that.
