Also most people take their watch off while sleeping so they wont have any problems with it. Even if you dont do that just charge it for a while every day before taking a shower its not that difficult

I've been considering the OnePlus Watch 2 but it's battery isn't much bigger than this Xiaomi watch.

Any smartwatch with a battery life of 2 or 3 days is useless, a non starter, my Garmin with 24/7 health tracking, notifications and a few GPS runs a week lasts around 28 days... 2 day battery life is literally laughable...

Good watch, should be 200 then I would buy it.

Surely Huawei is pretty and cute, get more days of battery... but that's it. Also, I would buy Garmin instead of Huawei for the metrics anyway

That's why my next watch has to be a "full OS" one, with fast charging too.

A great battery, great metrics and looks are the ones that matter, and Huawei is best at it.

The average user doesn't care one bit and only the top 2%, at most, of athletes would actually benefit from more accurate fitness tracking such as pulse body straps. For the rest of us, it's just another nice to have gimmick and not the main purpose of the smartwatch.

If so then stick to cheap Chinese watches with lots of 'features' because they should do the job for you. Xiaomi has had a poor accuracy track record so far and WearOS may or may not help it improve. Apple consistently tests the best, with Fitbit being OK lately, and the same for the Pixel. Huawei is a little better than Xiaomi, but not on par with Apple, Garmin or Fitbit.

This, square watches can never achieve.

Anonymous, 08 Oct 2023Lame watch reviews. Did you compare accuracy to other devic... moreIt is a smartwatch and it supports google wallet, calls (LTE model) and has a precise GPS and decent battery life (for a smartwatch). That pretty much sums up the need of the majority of the users. Whether or not it shows 90 or 99 when your pulse is 93 or 198 when it is 180 isn't really of any concern to most people with smartwatches.

For those particularly interested in that, get a pulse belt.
Alternatively if one really doesn't want a pusle belt then get an apple watch if you're in the ios ecosystem, Huawei's best watches if you're in China or Pixel Watch 2 if not.

Btw. Sleep tracking, on any smartwatch, smartband or similar doesn't actually provide you with useful information and the therefore not recommended to to any large amount of your focus on it. If anything it is likely increase stress and health anxiety. How you feel when you wake up, and throughout your day, will not only be much more accurate, but just painfully obvious compared to there trackers.

Health and fitness tracking on smartwatches today can be summarized as:

"More data = more health anxiety"
                                        "Entertainment purposes only, for now"
                                        - Dr. Mike.

For now it's more just for fun, for those who cares. Being able to pay and call, or be called, in times of urgency/emergency and not having to carry a phone all the time is really the main non-gimmicky benefit of smartwatches today. Progress is good so hopefully one day in the future the health tracking in smartwatches/bands/rings etc. will be more than just gimmicky.
