03 October 2023
Dual-band GPS, a body mass index sensor, Wear OS, and it costs €270.

Generally love GSM arena written reviews, but this one sounds bland. Hope the video review is better

Nice to see more options and nice one in the wear os market. Cheaper than a ticwatch pro 5 or the newest Samsung option.

If people just want the smart fonctions and not the fitness stuff, a few tweaks can make this a 3 day watch. (my twp3 lasts 4 day and the 5 well a day longer so 5 days with smarts and no fitness)

Now the ball is in Google's court, time to get serious about their OS. Cohesive vision to avoid destroying their own market.

Somehow they also manage to include a sim slot for 4G and cameras. Dunno how they manage to do it.

Thanks for the review, gsmarena! So it seems the battery life is a bit better on that, compared to Galaxy watches, but it could be wear os4 drain they experience...

On the side note, seeing many here comment wear os - isn't that a bit overrated? I mean who would use YouTube app on the watch to watch/hear adds? Gmaps with wrist raised and walking around? Pin code on tiny watch screen for 99% of the time, because once in a while you want to pay with the watch?!? I mean it takes more time to unlock it than pick up phone or wallet...
          Idk, just my thoughts, ymmv

I'll be getting one of these. Great value Vs the Samsung watch.

Lame watch reviews. Did you compare accuracy to other devices, like Garmin, Apple, or a chest strap? Xiaomi has had pretty poor sensor and algorithm accuracy in the past, but this review doesn't address it. How accurate is sleep, VO2Max estimate, does it track HRV, and how well, among other things? Why do you bother doing watch reviews if you basically sound like the manufacturer's sales brochure?

The execution of the watch in general is surprisingly good.

finally a watch for men... and not the delicate little thing for Google girls

Huh, that price makes this watch a very interesting product. Wonder if that battery life is something I'd be okay with, as my Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro's 1-1,5 week battery life is long, but the thing is missing plenty of stuff a Wear OS watch has. That has become irritating.

I haven't seen any smartphone or smartwatch from them yet😊 Just in case you were talking about manufacturers of Waer OS-based smartwatches, they actually have understood long time ago that specially a smartwatch doesn’t need a squarish display. It is just a design decision. You forget that the first smartwatches from Samsung and LG had been squarish before they moved to round watches. The use-cases are simply limited.
However, once you get full-blown Android on a smartwatch, you can be sure that there will be enough smartwatches with bigger squarish screens.

                              Functionality > Form.

I wonder when we are going to see a watch made by Android which is squarish. These manufacturers must have been missing the point of smartwatches.
