as a samsung s4 owner i think their cameras are good, but not great, i always thought of Nokia as being one of the camera innovators. their cameras have generally been some of the best in the market, and that pureview? amazing. but that is just from personal opinion, if it didn't run that dreadful Symbian and limited release, that 808 would have killed cameras everywhere.

The Nokia 808 PureView doesn't ... moreyou are right, i wrote it simply as that's how the nokia is marketed as a 41mp camera phone, but yes it does produce pictures in the way you described, but rather then me go on explaining the finer points i was just generalizing a bit, but even so i was still pointing out that the processing and sampling and production tech is different in samsung and nokia as well as other devices, so cannot see the connection between the copying

Bi... morewhile i do agree with you to a point you argument is very valid, and you are also right that in the right setup smaller can in fact mean better, but in general most of the time a purely bigger sensor does allow for more light which is what the camera lens requires to capture the image at best quality, this also allow for such information such as low light, noise compensation and detail also to be collected, the size of the pureview sensor was the biggest ever in a mobile device and as big nearly as many point and shoot cameras, and with its processing technique of oversampling it really does blow anything phone wise and plenty of digital cameras out of the water, but as well my argument was also that camera modules and sensors in phones are TINY, and it does not matter if you create a 100mp camera phone, if the information being read is only accessible through a pin hole, that other 95mp of space is just a waste :-), so as a rule of thumb, rather then increase the MP, increase the sensor and improve the tech and the MP will take care of themselves

So it's a smaller phone, with lower screen resolution and so on - and still called S4? Why not just galaxy zoom? Why the S4 name when it's the first of it's kind from sammy?
And why a photoshopped S3 and not S4?

They indeed are very good camera phones, the best an average and a slightly low level above average users are satisfied with it. For high expectation people, the 808 PureView, HTC One and the Lumia 920 is the best option in camera phones right now.

It is not octa core for god sake. It is two quad core chips. Only one quad core chip can work at a time. Combined 8 cores can't work at a time.
Intel Core i7-3930K got a Hexa-Core Processor which costs around 650$. The price of a S4, can you even imagine a 6 core processor with this high price and on the other hand a 8 core processor with that price level. Even the 3930x verion got 6 cores -_-
Well this is not a relevant comparison but you people are highly misinformed.

I've heard that since Samsung phones have so many features Apple instead has patented the concept of a phone with no feature so from now on while Samsung smartphones will have any feature you can imagine only Apple will produce phones with no features. ROTFL :))))))))))
