Android 12.2 apple pie

Also Pixel 6 Pro owner, seeing nothing, not even AI backgrounds or that palette of colours for widgets.

This year even Apple had bigger OS update than Android did. They did brought some new ways of sharing files, contact posters, stickers, standby mode, etc.

Google basically did less this year.

I mean cool, but I feel like all the new visual overhauls are very basic. Not at all aesthetically refined in design. Especially the lockscreen. It felt more like a "this is possible" moment, and not "this looks good".

Regarding battery life, I don’t know how you use your phone but it should normally do 7h+ of SoT on a full battery. If you are gaming a lot on it then I guess it’s another story

I got Android 14 for pixel 6 pro this morning here in the U.K.

                        Is practically useless update

All I keep seeing is ‘not much has changed’, well…. what exactly do you all want to change??? 🤷

I thought you all liked Android as it is 🤔

If Google were to reinvent it every year, you’d all have to re-learn it every year. Change for changes sake is not always a good thing.

Android is a mature operating system at this point, refinement with subtle changes and less frequent major changes makes far more sense.

Glad I sold my horrible pixel 6a, android 14 who cares on an overheating mess like the 6a. I hope the 8 series is better.

Who still have the pixel 4a

Just installed the update. Gone are the days when you could see noticeable changes in the UI/OS with new versions, it's all about QoL changes now. Nothing helpful/interesting update for me this time.

                                    Not complaining, just an observation.

                                      "Flash Notification"
                                      .
At least Google did provide some relief alternative to almost-extinct notification LED by making the flashlight a notification LED-alike 🥺

Anyone know when the next Android 14 QPR1 Beta update will drop? I'm waiting for the October security patch.
