Anonymous, 06 Oct 2023iPhone 15 pro max overheating issue fixed with 17.0.3It was barely an issue to begin with. None of the respectable media outlets reported many complaints. I'm beginning to suspect more and more that it was clickbait.

Whoopee, some people will have a phone that goes that little bit faster in benchmarks, but will run smooth as butter in real everyday usage.

They buy it because they don't have a choice, not because they like it.

The S23 series has Snapdragon chipsets in Europe as well, and it became much more popular than the S22 series was.

Also 8 gen 3 is Tsmc made.

Smart play by Samsung. They're doing the same Apple game. Use their weaknesses as their strong points. Give the base models the Exynos because they know people don't like it and easier will consider the S24 Ultra like Apple makes people go for the Pro Max models...

On a few websites it was reported the snapdragon 8gen 3 for Samsung will be manufactured on Samsung 4nm node. Goodbye s24 in that case.
No to Samsung node until they get 3nm Gaafet ready. Their 4/5nm stuff is not competitive...

So it's not just overclock they change core cluster plus they will use much better manufacturing process of N3E instead Of 4nm of normal 8 gen 3.

obtuse, 06 Oct 2023to large for my molecular hands make it 0.0000001cmIt's not about hand size, but about pocket space. Too big and heavy for the chest pocket. Too big and fragile for the pants pocket. Only good for bedtime stuff and gaming. Not for the active people.

I just wonder if the Asian market would receive Snapdragon.

I'm more interested in that 432Mp sensors incoming, but maybe not so much since it's 1" and that being in folds is questionable.
200mp for fold7 is great, but what I miss the most is capable tele cameras and hi res uw on folds.
Anyway those numbers need some serious processing power, so it's good to know they got something better than exynos prepared.
