So if I use eSIM I can put one in the SIM tray?

you have to suffer, 10 Oct 2023there are more deluded people when they overpaid for cloud ... moreMore like, there are deluded people that still see what the companies are doing and then bend over to accept it instead of calling it like it is: wrong.

I probably won't ever use the second SIM so why not convert it into something useful? Sure, the speeds aren't pretty but that's why you record first, edit what you need, and then save the final product externally so you free up space..

SShock, 10 Oct 2023They don't want you to buy 256GB memory card for 15€, ... moreIt's expensive because it is new. In case you missed it, we were paying more than $20 decades ago for 512mb RS-MMC for Nokia Symbian phones.

And this is Huawei's step of protecting themselves from SD Association that would bend to Uncle Sam if the latter orders them to.

[deleted post]Huawei only because they got temporary ban from organizations in charge of SD cards, wifi and bluetooth. Nearlink is the alternative for the last two. This is their way of surviving and I am glad they did not eat up all those cloud-only future bs.

Kinda amazing like how bluetooth lovers can still use a TWS on phones with 3.5mm port.
Glad not all companies are swallowed by the cloud only BS.

I would personally not use much slower storage but the concept is definitely good for those that want it - you already open the slot to put the SIM, might as well allow storage on the other side.

I just bought a 256 gb Lexar NM card for about USD 30. Good enough for saving 4K videos and pictures SOOC to the NM card..

emmc 5.1, on a sim card??
anyway, just impressive. lexar did some workarounds to make larger than 256gb NM card.
i hope other manufacturers make this tech standard. cloud storage are for people who does not know what to do with their money. paying for annual plan is like overpaying for non branded chinese clone sd card that are built to be thrown away in a year

NM should have been the new standard back in 2018 as it can fit on the SIM tray back to back but by that time Apple and Google decided to go all in on $100 for 128GB and $2/month cloud
