The following video may be helpful:

The Japanese version (sans Leica) is always shown on the right. The author compares it to Leica's Authentic and Vibrant modes (in his experience, the Jp version is somewhere in between).

Alas, no comparison keeping the app settings the same.

After further investigation it seem that both devices leica and non-leica are using the same sensor Sony IMX-707.
I have the feeling they are both the same, just missing the label and some software features for the not-leica version.

      Hey guys,
So I know that they cannot sell leica on some markets due patent issues.
But just maybe, this is the same hardware for all the markets, just missing the "Leica Label"?
I checked pictures for both version Leica labeled and non Leica, they look identical.
Plus. I checked the cam specs and they are identical.
      Confidence, I don't think so.

Differences are good only to start a war.

There is no Leica license in Japan. Japan is another unlucky market.

To me every market in every of 206 existing countries should get exactly same thing.

                    Nope we all are equal.
Even in po*n movies they dont care and enjoy a company of the other one no matter the race, color of skin, ethnicity, social or racial affairs etc.

Anonymous, 10 Oct 20232023 and gsmarena still believes Leica and Zeiss make lense... moreOf course they know. Its just QC pass to put their branding. No one would call it 'using Largan lens' or 'using Sunny lens'.

Leica approved it to use it by their name, hence Leica-optics. Even in a real camera world, u would think its the real thing by their name? (Leica, Zeiss etc.). Some of the series doesnt. Bussiness bro, bussiness.

Not surprising. It was already leaked a monthly before release this was the case. But it is unknown whether certain features are present or not. Then again the standard Xiaomi tuning is already pretty good when tuned correctly. It's not massive but noticeable.

I was interested in the 13T pro but after discovering this scam Xiaomi decided not to send the global full option model to my country (Algeria) I gave up immediately and took a Samsung S23 and I am very happy! I will never buy the Xiaomi brand again which doesn't even respect it's customer!

Xiaomi cannot use the "Leica" brand in Latin America due to patent issues. For some reason that nobody has been able to understand so far, Motorola holds the patents to use the "Leica" brand in Latin America. Until Xiaomi can resolve this issue, they will have to bring their devices without that brand. This is not only in Chile, but also in Peru and a large part of Latin America is affected.

At least in Japan its a clear case that Xiaomi probably cannot sold phones with Leica branding because Sharp & Leica themselves sold phones there.

Are Xiaomi advertizing Leica lenses in the list of countries that will not get them?
I want to improve on my Note 10 Pro, very much so in the optics etc. department myself, but cannot anywhere from any manufacturer find a phone that has OIS on its ultrawide lens, and as long as they all gang up against photography by refusing this ultrawides OIS who makes them does not matter a lot since none will give sharp snaps in even shady conditions in summer. Additionally, but just as important they all MUST start making panoramas with the ultrawide lenses possible. What is the point of having a lens that is perfect for panoramas it confined spaces that you cannot use for them at all?Xiaomi and Leica should look to their laurels on this one, and so should everyone else.

in Algeria people are talking about boycotting all products of this brand on social networks, this is not the first time that Xiaomi has done this kind of ******.... so they keep their smartphone....
