AnonD-134497, 12 May 2013I don't know about Apple and HTC but I do know Nokia doesn'... morewell it makes sense, as a manufacturer of course i wanted my phones to sell good even if its fooling the market by adding the word "mini" of my other popular phone to a mid range device.
I know we all knew that

so now 4.3 screens are called minis ? minis should be smaller if you ask me.
And yeah i also think this is Samsungs way to make use of GS4's popular name to boost their sales, Samsung knows that their brand is popular enough and the market is blind enough to buy this.
Like the GS3 mini this phone doesnt have the specs to be worth being called GS4 mini. just look at the screen, its not even a 720 x 1280 screen how dissapointing.
The worst thing about this phone though would be its price tag just trust me.
Just like the zoom and sport variants of GS4, Samsung is clearly making use of the GS4's name AND making advantage of an oblivious market

I was waiting for something like Galaxy win. Quad core but lower cpu speed than his big brother. Well, if we consider that s4 (us version) can be called Galaxy s3.5, this isn't a surprise

AnonD-106654, 12 May 2013I'm not trolling, but I don't know whether I should call th... moreYou can call it misleading market. Usually brain-washed people will surely buy it as they will see a name tag of 'Galaxy S4' mini. It's really annoying you know and then they ask who is the top smartphone manufacturer?
Of course:
Samsung Galaxy Core, Galaxy Mega 6.3, Galaxy Mega 5.8, Galaxy Trend II, Galaxy Win, Galaxy Pocket, Galaxy Star, Galaxy Y plus, Galaxy young, Galaxy Fame, Galaxy Star Deluxe duo, Galaxy Grand, Galaxy S3, Galaxy S3 mini, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 mini, Galaxy S3 International version, Galaxy S3 US version, Galaxy Note II and many more just a month old and coming up..........
VS
Nokia Lumia 920, 820, 720, 620, 520, 928
iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5S
HTC One, Butterfly, Droid DNA, First
Sony Xperia Z, ZL, SP, L
LG Optimus G pro
Blackberry Z10, Q10
And then they ask why their phones sell much regarding the fact that they are bought and sold in a year in a average population of 100%. It would be a lame excuse that "choices" are meant. This is I mean ridiculous obviously. Same phones in the market with almost the same design and almost the same specifications with just inclusion of one-two new features and they call it new 'Galaxy' model.
Purely spamming the market with their so called 'most innovative' (that is pretty much of a joke) Galaxy brands. All other brands are quality while in Samsung, it is all about 'quantity' excluding Galaxy S and Galaxy N series.
Call that trolling and you are fooling yourself. These are obvious facts.

AnonD-134497, 12 May 2013I don't know about Apple and HTC but I do know Nokia doesn'... moreIn this case I completely agree with you. Why would they call it s4 mini when it clearly isnt. I dont hate samsung. I have an s2 myself. This is completely false advertising. Honestly it should be an s4 with a smaller screen. Thats it. Nothing else should be different. The resolution and everthing should be the same. Pure rip off in my opinion.

AnonD-2815, 12 May 2013apple, nokia, lg, htc please learn to make mini versions of... moreI don't know about Apple and HTC but I do know Nokia doesn't requires Mini versions because there are already mid-range and low-range Nokia Lumia WP phones such as 520, 620, 720.
I don't get the point of calling a phone mini when there are no similarities from it's successor. Instead, why don't they name it as a mid-range smartphone. Of course it fits completely in that description. Calling a phone mini its completely useless. People will buy it as thoughts of having a Samsung Galaxy S4 while it's totally contra of their thoughts. They will only have a phone which is similar to the original design(of course every one is) with everything completely different.
Mini means a small version of something. It should have all the things which were in an S4 excluding the 5' screen size which is 4.3', brilliant from Samsung. Perfect thoughts for a small version while all the things like RAM, Processor, Screen resolution should be the same.
Consider an example: Two kitkats. One is mini, one is full size. Does the mini one would hold less chocolate or less wafers? No. They are the same as in the full version. Just size difference.
Samsung is just trying to increase it's market shares by false ways. Like this one.
