Leakster: the OnePlus 12 will have a 6.82" display with 2,600 nits brightness

12 October 2023
That's double the output of the OnePlus 11 display. The company is changing the aspect ratio too.

Please stop increasing screen size. 6.7 inches is already very big, try to fit in components onto smaller form factor. 6.5 inches is more than enough for a phone. try to keep the dimensions around 160x74 more than is definitely uncomfortable. or if you are planning to increase dimensions please include 3.5mm jack or atleast sd card slot

All fake brightness boost numbers even pixel 8 pro with 2400 nits peaks still not as bright as iPhone with 2000 nits lol.

Finally, a flagship smartphone with a bigger battery than 5000mAh.

Anton., 13 Oct 2023You do know that even Apple buys panels from BOE, right?Ipad , not iphones

                    Iphones use Samsung/LG panels.

Let's pretend BBK and Xiaomi would use domestic screens if they had same price of samsung oled.
No surprise on weibo so many users bash crap C.S screen used by mi 13 ultra.

Ouifuf, 13 Oct 2023Phone looks cool but what's with every company focusin... moreBasically it's the screen manufacturers competing against each other and then the phone manufacturers use it for marketing purposes. The peak brightness is basically useless. The important two are the manual brightness and brightness boost in auto mode. The manual brightness is the one that can be sustained over a longer period. Actually, as you can see from gsmarena some the phones with the highest average peak brightness have very average manual max brightness, which is nowhere near the iPhone 14 pros or 15 pros or even the s23 ultra.

Why on earth are they still keeping that same back design? It doesn't look ugly, but it doesn't look very nice either.

Phone looks cool but what's with every company focusing on brightness? Doesn't make any difference in 99% of cases and most people will never use it
