Samsung's Exynos 2400 pops up on Geekbench

12 October 2023
Scoring faster than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, naturally.

Anyway don't expect too much, Samsung 4nm fab is well known to be at least 12 months behind TSMC. Only 3nm Samsung could be competitive.

What seems to be sure is 8gen3 is going too be crazy expensive.

Hugo, 13 Oct 2023The more competition, the better for customers Not sure about the "the better for customers" part. If competition means cutting corners and deliver beta hardware with the excuse of "over the air updates" and leaving customers to deal with whatever issues it might cause... Make it right and finished or don't. Make it good and reliable or don't. Don't try to be the best, the fastest or the whatever "best of". Be the best you can deliver and be class leading on stuff that matters most being reliability, power efficient and powerful enough to be sustainable and durable. I know this sounds like a kid wanting stuff from Santa Claus but that's what it should be instead of asking you piles of money to end up being a ginnypig.

The only phones that register a Geekbench score have already been released in effect already sold

The scores for 8 Gen 3 and Exynos 2400 are not available.
The Geekbench "full reports" are about twice as long as being shown

Ice universe and others can mock up the top half and supply "scores", what they can't do is show the lower half of the report AND / OR make the actual FULL score accessible so we can see it ourselves

S24 cannot, You can see this partial report on multiple sites except Geekbench

S23 S23+ S23 Ultra ALL can be accessed and viewed. Here is the S23 https://browser.geekbench.com/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=Samsung+Galaxy+s23

See how the report differs from the supposed leak

A17 is massively ... moreDo you mean to say that all of that uncontrolled power that crapple a17 pro has is actually useful? Let me guess, that gpu it has isn't even going to run a game for 1 hour without crashing(let alone AAA games which apple praised so badly but isn't even a new thing), plus that gpu of the a17 pro throttles really badly, it doesn't even compete against the previous gpu on the SD8G2, we can only imagine just how much more powerful SD8G3 gpu will be as it's said to be 60% more powerful(compared to SD8G2). So know your place apple fanboy.

A17 is massively more powerful than any current Android chip lol. If there are some apps which load or run faster on Snapdragon it's because of optimization, not because of chip's capabilities.

my prediction it will be a bad soc, but lets wait until its release to see its real performance

...yeah competitions are good for costumer

Sam N8 808 owner, 13 Oct 2023The rumor at the end better be false... or it'll be li... moreThe Galaxy S and S+ are no longer considered as flagships anymore. They're more like premium mid-range. The real flagships are the foldables and Ultra, and Samsung will only use the best SoC on them, aka Snapdragon. It's obvious that they don't have that much confidence on their own Exynos, and only use it as a cost saving method. Too bad there are people defending Exynos for whatever reason, despite the facts showing otherwise.

Ever wonder why Samsung only compare the 2400 with the 2200, instead of the SD8gen2 that they used for the S23 series?

SD scores are a bit higher at 6800 for multi and 2200 for single. But these ones have a higher clock speed at 3.3 GHz instead of 3.21 GHz in Exynos.

Great scores but Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is around the corner puts Exynos 2400 to shame.....again.
And what about all the other issues with exynos?
Let's just wait and Samsung will reprice it s chipsey mistake they made between A54 and A34 where the A34 was if not better in some tests but on par with their better device.

Now the important thing to know is whether Samsung provided separate voltage source to the prime core then this might be a good fit for efficiency and performance.
