If this is true, then Xiaomi is stupid. Enlarging what supposed to be their compact flagship, they will push people who love compact phone to choose S23, Pixel 8 or iPhone 15/15 Pro.

Phone turns in to a trackpad which can also be used to draw things on i think, looks and feels like a "windows" experience (this was on my old p40 pro). Never used Oppo's version (i have the find x5 so know it exists), not tested the others, didnt know sony had one (makes sense Honor does, probably a clone of huawei's one).

    Xiaomi does actually have a desktop mode too, think it was released end of last year, i could be wrong though.

    Depends what you need a screen for, if you mainly consume content then you cant beat a phone, with all HDR formats you have access to and even dolby atmos plus the ease of wirelessly connecting and streaming to things makes it a very easy and portable device that can also do documention type work, that or a decent tablet with attachable keyboard would work well too tbh. Get a laptop if you find a decent one with dedicated graphics so you can do dedicated work/needing a larger screen while on the move/more option for gaming.

            Pointless to use apps on monitor/tv when you can have desktop software with 10000x more functions on laptop.

                The selfies are the biggest insult to the consumer. No Xiaomi phone has a good selfie camera. NONE. Their FLAGSHIP can't do 4K selfie recording. NONE can do 4K60 selfies anywhere in the history of Xiaomi.

                  Actually they MUST go for 3.1 USB AT LEAST since Apple finally moved to that standard, which means Desktop Mode.

                  All the major players has a Desktop mode, except Xiaomi, that is the reason why I am planning to stop buying Xiaomi and going to other brands since those other brands offer that USB 3.0 standard.

                    If they're still using USB 2.0 speeds then Xiaomi are not to be taken seriously as a flagship phone manufacturer and should go back to making actually good Redmi phones.
