It's still bogus that the vanilla models drop the resolution now back to the s5 and note 3 resolution.

Well since the only difference will be size of phone and size of battery plus S pen with ultra model expect the lowest of the low S24 samsung price around 1300. S24 plus will cost around 1500 and S24 Ultr will start at 1800 eur pricing for a base 8/256GB model.

rosesarerosie, 17 Oct 2023Samsung could actually pull off 2500 nits sustained, idk thoI wish the camera setup of the smallest version would be the same as in the ultra... I would not even move if the price is the same. But in this way it is simply not worth... 10Mp camera for this price :D good joke...

I suggest to proof read the articles before publishing.

DarlingYext, 17 Oct 2023That's great news, but every model should've had ... moreRevegnus @Tech_Reve is wrong with his guess again and no doubt all the "predictions" from the majority will be wrong.

These X disclosures are essentially say Astronomy or Astrology, one of them is a science.
Revengus tweets won't be stocked in any library soon.

LTPO stands for low-temperature polycrystalline oxide.
Important as APPLES owns the all, virtually all the LTPO patents

Samsung's technology is NOT ltpo but HOP (Hybrid-Oxide Polycrystalline) technology is like / similar has LTPO qualities but different no royalties or patents involved.

So even though Samsung is a manufacturer it pay Apples nil
The Oppo Find X6 pro uses LTPO

They just make these announcement, no follow up, it goes viral. You would hope that they would as least answer one question

Revegnus should at least he know the basics of the topic he comments on.
Samsung Galaxy S24 series' key display specs revealed no guess again
Is that where the X come from

I'm using S22 and never even had my manual brightness slider more than half, it's always been enough for me even in sunlight. So don't care at all that its been increased even further, who even cares about that apart from tech experts

As long as you can use your phone outside under sunlight does anyone care about screen brightness?

Samsung make the screens bigger, wider and more power efficient

justasmile, 17 Oct 2023Still misleading. Even 90hz to 60hz is still variable."Still misleading."

Yes it is, Samsung is indeed misleading.

"Even 90hz to 60hz is still variable."

Variable yes, but not LTPO. The S22 and S22+ had LTPS displays which could only go down to 48hz, while the Ultra could go down to even 1hz because of LTPO, that's the key difference, and it's a huge deal. (Same with the S23 series.)

add pen to all models, even the higher-end a series models need a pen.

For someone like me who does not like the sharp corners in the Ultra and a curved display, I'm likely to go for the S24+ (if I will afford it). Great if the plus model gets QHD for the LTPO display as well.

Wake me up when they bring back the 3.5mm jack & the micro sd card slot 😴.

That's great news, but every model should've had LTPO display already since the S21 series, they were all expensive enough to have that feature.

Now if they only wouldn't gimp them with the Exynos and put the same Snapdragon as they did with the S23 series...

justasmile, 17 Oct 2023The s22 and s23 also has variable refresh rates. Didnt have LTPO screen, , the s23 also had the same panel as the s22 and that doesnt have an LTPO panel, the s23 didnt (only the ultra versions had it). All phones with 90hz+ screens can do different refresh rates just not fully variable which is what they are saying.
