If it brings new innovations in customizability and more efficient software. I'm all up for the change. Going to give them 4 years to prove themselves.

The same thing - different name... Marketing garbage to attract attention. Nothing more than that.

I don't know what people expect from a new UX. Google style? The tech community is full of jokers who thinks they know what they're doing 😂.
Still pretty clean enough. Reminds me of Origin OS. Too bad that isn't going international. I did ask the CEO and it's only "Stay tuned" for now. Possiblity of going international: 50/50.
I don't expect this perfect from the get go. There will be bugs from the get go but hopefully nothing major. I just hope they stop pushing in-app notifications that I can't swipe out of or those dumb ads in their stock apps. Turning it off did not resolve the issues mind you.

- is it a slow, bloated mess... moreIt will be slow and bloated due to ads and gazillion bloatware apps.
It will be already buggy from the start since it's just the same MiUI with a new name.

Anonymous, 18 Oct 2023 Could be a regional things. So many swear by Samsung yet t... more1) The price paid for those budget samsung's are subsidized by the ad spots.
2) The continued revenue from the ad spots on samsung's lock screen on budget devices help pay for the software support, as well.
So no, those phones are not fully paid for by the one purchasing it at the store. The price is ad-supported, not at free. If ad free, the price would be higher.
Perhaps Samsung, and others, could offer a "premium unlock service" to get rid of all the ads for such devices, for those who wish to get rid of them? Then you have fully paid for the phone and it's expected support over the lifespan of the device and should not have to see any ads.

I don’t why some claim that, sure service and eco systeem wise Samsung does act like Apple a lot.
But UI wise absolutely not.
