PanRT, 19 Oct 2023Summilux bring f/1.4 on Xiaomi 14 And release new date 31.1... moreYeah, Xiaomi usually launches phones on Tuesdays so the 31/10 makes more sense. They have never launched a phone on a Friday in China so the 27/10 was never likely to be the launch date.

rizki1, 19 Oct 2023The OS is always good, fast updates (first non Pixel to get... moreI've had one update in 7 and a half months on the Redmi k60 pro. An update was given at the start of April. The next one was in August and was just a security patch with no other optimisations and no updates since. One update in 7 and a half months on their flagship Redmi series is not great (this is their 2023 redmi flagship after all). It's definitely the slowest phone for updates I've ever owned and also the updates have added very little improvements to the phone (e.g. nothing in terms of camera optimisations unlike other phones I've owned).
Also the long term gsamarena review for the Xiaomi 13 pro comments on the relatively slow updates . I quote in the long term Xiaomi 13 pro review, 'Xiaomi has never been the fastest with updates, and it's still not. So it hasn't changed, but the world around it has. Most of its competitors are doing better now, so it's definitely time to step up - especially for flagship devices like this one.'
Rather than speed of updates though, what I would like to see is updates that actually improve the phone. I had a Chinese Motorola before this and although the updates weren't very quick and the overall support was short, the updates were really good in terms of making big changes for each update (every single update added camera optimisations for example). Personally, I'd value these type of updates more than just security patches.
Overall, the K60 pro is ok for the price I paid, but the updates are definitely miles behind similarly priced phones from Oneplus or IQOO (Chinese variants at least).

Anonymous, 19 Oct 2023yeah because everyone is a vlogger and walks with this phon... moreNo, because almost all reviewers bring it up as a negative and even though pointless for 99% of users, it still scares some off from it because it comes off as the front facing camera is bad in general.

So glad the Pro will get a flat screen again. Curved screens look nice but are terrible in use.
Just wondering if they'll keep the IMX989 on the Pro or downgrade to a smaller sensor...

Anonymous, 19 Oct 2023yeah because everyone is a vlogger and walks with this phon... moreIt's obvious that you don't understand anything, it's much more beneficial to record in 4K and export in FHD to use on social media.
