Will AT&T give $99 to people to purchase HTC First..? :) I guess no one will want even if they do. FB should have a dedicated button to access their launcher like HTC Cha Cha. It can't overtake the home screen. FB is not life. Google Search is the life I think..!!! On a single button press FB should be available to entertain..!

There you go. A great mid ranger with a great price tag being canceled. 4.3 HD Screen, New Dual Snapdragon S400 with Adreno 305 is a nice combination. Big battery.
Just took 10 seconds to disable Facebook home, leave it stock or install whatever launcher you want and it was good to go.

Someone said the One S is better but it's not true. Only the Camera and Storage are better...

I'm pretty sure everyone knew the HTC First was doomed to fail before it was released. Who is that in to Facebook that they need it dominating their life? Even if you can get stock Android on this phone, it's not a good enough selling point. They failed before and they've clearly failed again. Thank goodness, for HTC's sake, the HTC One is selling well.

Because people would pick the HTC One S over this one any day... better screen, better camera, better audio.. and cheaper!!

One of the reasons is the availability of Facebook launcher at Google Play. The numbers would have been different if HTC First was to be the only phone with FB launcher for some time at least. People would have to buy the phone to try that launcher.

No one is interested eventhough therez a price drop.

For $0.99 no one cares a damn about this phone.

It's good I did not pick this up.

                      Cheers!!

Too bad for some decent specs. The design is 'meh' but acceptable. No sd-card slot ... with just 16Gb (less then 12Gb for user ?) is a big issue.
But what is really killing it is the Facebook launcher.

It was doomed to failure anyways.
In a couple of months people will have forgotten that this device even existed.

Facebook is to approach King Samsung for the device. Until Samsung started using Android, HTC never managed to push android sales. Lets see what Sammy can do. I think this facebook phone should be on Tizen.
