Elon thought firing people was the way, instead. And, as he's the richest man on the planet, I have very little sympathy for him. Go away and good riddance.

Anyone can deal with the oh-so dangerous "misinformation", but propaganda from MSM is much harder to dissect for your average joe out there. MSM also leaves out a lot of info or simply just not shines a light on an event at all; they never get any penalty for that. EU is really laughable with their acts.

That would definitely put me off from buying a Tesla - there is a high chance he could do the same on Tesla, which is a shame because I was getting ready for the new Model 3

SuperSpruce, 20 Oct 2023Wow, Musk. Making Twitter so bad that it becomes illegal, t... moreIt's not that he made it bad, it's that EU regulations are very strict on time frames for disinformation and exposes big companies with millions of users to harsh conditions. How do you properly manually vet hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of posts a day? This is just a case of the EU pushing some policies which don't match with the real world, everyone wants platforms to be regulated but the more you push for immediatist time frames the more you would have to deal with automated and poorly designed policies or poor moderation standards (such as when you ask for an appeal and get further generic responses from a script because even the human managed replies have to be done so quick they just copy script and ignore any detail you give).

Our european leaders are tampering with the free market. They're not serving us, they're serving themselves. They just put the responsibility of dealing with people spreading fake news on companies than to deal with it themselves like they should. Well guess what, you can't stop millions of people from lying, you can't control everything.

In my opinion a social that force you to pay to send a private message to someone should drown to death so I really don't care if he wants to block it in Europe, there will be one less stupid social, good riddance.

Many say that Twitter shares "disinformation". But at least, in twitter everybody can reply and be heard. Anybody can analyze by itself the information, searching for another sources.
In TV or mainstream media, we have no voice. There is an "official" point of view, and most journalists must comply with it in order to keep their jobs. Around 96% of the world news are ultimately the property of 6 big global companies. Do you understand what that means for the freedom of speech?
Please EU, let us choose what it is true or what is not. Freedom in general (not only of speech) is just that. We are clever enough.
The recent EU laws also authorize governs to spy on journalists and their families if they don't reveal their sources, without a court order. EU is just nowadays just one more dictatorship. That's the reason they criminalize Musk, when he not agrees to "comply" with those not voted laws.

Serves them right, even if it's for a different reason.
This app should be banned everywhere. Even the rebrand made the app terrible, not because of how it looks, but about the functions.
