Imagine 60hz in 2024

If the display doesn't go beyond 500 nits and/or is still 60hz (like with all Air models), then idk it kinda seems pointless just for the sake of bigger size.

Hamburger, 20 Oct 2023I don't see how is putting a bigger screen on the ipad... moreThe only reason Apple put M1/M2 chipset on iPad Air/Pro is to lower down the production cost of the chipset in the first place. The more they make it, the lower the price it'll be

Anonymous, 20 Oct 2023just kill the iPad Pro at this point...Unlikely though since iPad Air never has 120Hz whereas the iPad Pro always has it.

This could be a move to rival Samsung's Galaxy Tab S FE+.

A 12.9 inch iPad 9th Generation would have been more necessary and more desirable. I still love the look of the first/second generation iPad Pro 12.9. The curved sides made it look even thinner. And a low price for a device that can fit as much as a standard size sheet of paper would be perfect for note-taking.

Shellyman Studios, 20 Oct 2023So... Basically, Apple doing their own version of the Tab S... moreyes, but the ipad air will probably be better since faster chip but more expensive than the s9fe

                  Interesting.

So... Basically, Apple doing their own version of the Tab S9 FE models.

I don't see how is putting a bigger screen on the ipad makes it better, without macOS. The current 12" is already too big, the 11" is just nice for a tablet. Waste of resources and more harmful to planet earth.

Fanboydestroyer, 20 Oct 2023Translation: Apple is going to further segment their produc... moreExactly. Apple's just transforming into some Chinese company with 999 slightly different models.

Translation: Apple is going to further segment their product lineup, create consumer confusion and force price hikes on them.

Interesting, following Samsung SKU, with a larger version of the less expensive tablet. Imagine, Apple copying Samsung… 😂
