Nice seeing some good competition to the smartphone chip market, how the result will be in daily use will be good to see 👀

                That's a nice marketing win.
I'm very eager to see how well will perform the phones with this chipset power efficiency and performance sustainability wise.
In theory, not great. Too many performance cores will consume too much power, produce too much heat and throttle too much.

For example Poco F5 in this site have only the v9 score that is around 930k while with v10 the score is around 1.1M
So this D9300 would probably be also under 2M if the bench would be done in Antutu v9

xslvrxslwt, 23 Oct 2023Geekbench is the only good benchmark out there. It's c... moreWell to be honest it's impossible to compare IOS to android anyways as these are totally 2 different things. When android is made to support pretty much everything while IOS is only made to support there 5 generations of chips and are specifically optimized for these chips and rest of the hardware that you see in the platform.

The only way to compare performance what chip is better is to make a motherboard that have like 3-4 different chip slots while rest of the hardware is same and the software on it will be just for benchmarks so they just change the chip only on that motherboard to run the tests. That would be then fair testing.

Bionic is optimized for IOS and the latest hardware that goes in the new model of there phones so they dont have more features on the chip like you have on Snapdragon and Mediatek. SD and MTK have all types of features on there chips and all brands who use them just turn on there preferred features on there phones. These chip brands do it cause they sell there chips to 100 different brands while Bionic is made for only 1 brand so it's optimized for the one specific models only

My guess is Mediatek are following the refinement process of Intel and AMD. These scores are probably under liquid nitrogen to push the chip as far as possible.

rizki1, 23 Oct 2023It won't get hot as long as it's not installed on... moreIt will be hot, Android don't have middle cores like Apple which use 0.5W even efficient cores like A78 use more than 1W. I can't see how A720 will be able to handle Standby and small tasks. All leaks I saw so far they say this soc struggle with Overheating.

xslvrxslwt, 23 Oct 2023That's true too but the reason they're holding up... moreWell with Apple there use to be a time when they made updates to purposely slow down the phone or battery drain so the customers buy new phone from them.
Also i dont think your on point with the Android as it depends on also what the brand is doing.
When you got the flagship of android 5 years ago then it should still be fluid on your task and still be good in gaming. Maybe not the Genching or what ever the game is that is crazy power hungry but other games should still be good on 60fps that most games are anyways. Well most games probably are locked at 30fps so there are very few that allow 60 fps and even less that support over 60fps.

I dont think that the 5 years old iphone would also be good or better in that game then for example from the same time as Snapdragon 855 or 855+ or 865

                                  no efficient cores?

rizki1, 23 Oct 2023It won't get hot as long as it's not installed on... moreI totally doubt Sony and Google will ever use Dimensity SoC for their flagship phones, so that's out of the question altogether. ASUS do put Dimensity SoC on ROG Phone, so it'd be interesting to see how ASUS takes care of it.

Speaking of Sony, they already give better cooling for this year's Xperia 1 v and Xperia 5 v on top of the already efficient Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Kai W can easily get almost five hours of continuous 4K/25fps video with the Photo Pro app*. Last year's Xperia 1 iv can only handle up to just one hour of continuous 4K video recording**.
