Even the "lossless" CD quality Bluetooth codecs are still using lossy compression. Bluetooth has very little bandwidth.

I think for casual gamers, social media users, youtube users/mostly wifi users its not going to be an issue for day to day use (which is why i say its just not true that mediatek is a worse SoC in any of those departments). If they had compared older meditek chips to equivalent SD ones i would agree its night and day but the 9200 to 8g2 is basically very little difference (same for 9300 to the 8g3).

These 2 areas seem to dominate the comment
First is above my pay grade
https://www.gsmarena.com/apple_updates_airpods_pro_2_with_usbc_lossless_audio_and_ip54_rating-news-59882.php
"AirPods Pro 2 with the USB-C charging case now supports 20-bit, 48 kHz Lossless Audio but there's a catch - it only works with Apple Vision Pro headset which is set to debut in the US early next year. Apple says the H2 chip inside the AirPods Pro 2 which is also present on the Vision Pro, allows for Lossless Audio transmission but this begs the question of why the feature was not present on last year’s Lighting model."
also from Quallcomm
"We should soon find out how these additions translate to real-world benefits for smartphones. Devices featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 are expected to start shipping "in the coming weeks," Qualcomm said. Phone makers including Asus, OnePlus, RedMagic, Sony and ZTE are among the companies who release handsets in the U.S. that are planning on adopting the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Missing from that list is Samsung, but don't read anything into that — Samsung is rarely mentioned at Snapdragon launches, and yet the new 8 series chipsets always seem to find their way into Samsung flagships. That's expected to continue in 2024 when the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 should power the new Samsung Galaxy S24 models, at least those released in the U.S. and Asia. And there's a possibility that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will rely on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, regardless of which market the phone is sold in."
That are planning on adopting the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
Planning is one thing buying is another, Qualcomm have everything to lose Mediatek everything to gain
Despite the low take up Mediatek Dimensity 9200+ performs better than the 8 gen 2
before you start all start hitting keypad I am not entering a debate discussion to justify the comment
Arrogance or what Mediatek publicly announces on the same day 24/10/23
9300 RELEASED 06/11/23
Qualcomm has made a slight modification to the architecture 1+5+2 from 1+2+2+3 still 4nm but dropping A520 (A510 in 2022) and replacing FOUR A7xx (2022) with FIVE A720
This is essentially cake baking Mediatek will have the same ingredients X4 A720 A520
(The 4+4 setup is a joke so let's not go there
If Mediatek keeps the same 1+3+4 it could post better benchmark than 8 Gen 3 IDK.
If it is just under 8 gen 3 the premium Qualcomm demands disappears
8 gen 3 at the moment is the premier SOC. it could retain until 3nm fabrication or be once again second on 07/11/23
With this Apple Samsung rivalry even Samsung could not justify using Qualcomm if Mediatek were the better SoC

Now, my gripes with Bluetooth are not that it exists, but rather that it isn't at the exact same baseline in audio quality that wired audio is. If the phone's speakers support 24-bit 192kHz audio, then so should wireless audio. Also, latency should be reduced as much as possible to the point where it matches the display's response time.

And if you are a part of the 0.01%, you should be complaining about the loss of headphone jacks and LG's DACs instead of complaining that an advancement in Bluetooth audio is not enough.
For the record, I use Qualcomm AptX HD, which is basically more quality that I'll ever need. What does need improvement however is the latency.
