And the 7 Gen 2 is a joke of a chip that is beaten by the 7 Gen 1 and is barely any faster than the 778G. That chip should've been called the 6 Gen 2.

      In real world usage some Android flagships are smoother overall better performing than iPhone 15 Pro Max!

      Ps. the 3nm in the IPhone 15 is only the first generation of 3nm. The 4nm in nexts years Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is fourth generation of 4nm. Ie 3nm doesn't always beat 4nm in performance.

They bo... moreI think that person means slower internet referring to the modem, which Qualcomm has always been ahead of the game with. Exynos modems also support the current wifi generation and 5G standards but performs worse than QC modems in reception, speed and efficiency. Mediatek's modems are decent, but not ahead of QC. Even Apple is still using QC modems...

They both pick up the wifi 7 standard which isnt even released yet, both have internal modems not external like on the s20 and pixel 6 series. You mean because of the maximum throughput that youll never see in your life, oh ok. (10gbps vs from what i can find, 7.5gbps so no real world difference that you, me and most people here will ever see)

                      I just decided to check out the dimensity 9200 vs 8g2 to see if your claim has any merit. In terms of CPU, the diminsity has slightly stronger single core output vs slightly worse multicore output (and thats with all cores clocked slightly lower and having 1 less performance core vs 8g2) while using slightly more power at max performance, diminsity seems to actually be better at low power tasks. Actually mediatek has been pretty competetive vs the last couple of qualcomm SD flagship chips, thinkg the 9000 beat the 8g1, 9000+ on par with 8g1+.

                      Most top brands like samsung, apple, oppo, huawei, sony, vivo, maybe xioami does too etc all use their own ISP so thats gone straight out the window for you. 8g2 ISP and 9200 ISP both do HDR 4k 60 recording, can record off all cams simultaneously, can do 8k recording but your obviously right, night and day between the 2.

                      Gpu is barely much difference either, 8g2 has about a 10% lead which in real life, is negligible (in benchmarks its barely an improvement) . Both have VRR, both have hardware based ray tracing and both get about 3.3 - 3.5 teraflops of FP 32 single precision performance (vs the what, 2.1 on a17 pro?)

                      So yes, if you do research for more than 1 minute you'd quickly find out there is no problem, mediatek is very competetive and probably sells the SoCs at a far cheaper price than qualcomms 8g2.

                            Anonymous, 25 Oct 2023if the 3 nm is just marketing, how come iphone gives better... moreBecause there are a lot more factors to consider than just nm. The nm is a gimmick just like cores used to be a few years ago on smartphones and just like GHz were back in the Pentium days. Even if it meant more it doesnt reflect actual lithography just what the manufacturer reports based on the efficiency of the process but you cant take it for granted. Qualcomm's 6nm chip is actually 10nm+, the same for samsung's 8nm etc. So the point is apple's 3nm isnt actually better than TSMC's 4nm.

                            The reason why apple's chips are so efficient is that apple has full control over everything hardware and software and goes into the iphone. apple makes the core architecture too and has the budget to develop a much more sophisticated design. other manufacturers on the other hand while not having full control over the chip can and are implementing much larger batteries than apple, much better cooling solutions and faster charging.
