Fade., 02 Jan 2024I remember Nokia doing a concept about this many many years... moreThat's the exact thing that came to mind when I saw this. Amazing to see such an extravagantly futuristic (for the time) and almost utopic idea start to come to fruition.

I remember Nokia doing a concept about this many many years ago. Though there was no technology available, for it yet. I think it was called morph.

Those people we're innovative as heck and way ahead of their time. Sadly they blew Symbian rest is history

Even if this was a concept, honestly huge kudus to Motorola for this daring move to show such prototype, Motorola has been on a roll lately, & i like it, if this becomes real someday, it will definitely be interesting to see how far it will go & do in general

yleop, 27 Oct 2023why would you bend your phone like that though? cool but so... moreDoesn't solve any problem. It's just one of those prototypes to showcase what could be possible with technology these days. It's just a "We can, we do" product; doesn't have to make sense/solve any problem

David 040882, 25 Oct 2023Or buy a smaller phone. A smaller phone like the S23, may n... moreWell that's the reason why I'm not buying smaller phone. I want the best camera as I'm using all the sensors, battery is better as well and I do want bigger screen. I was just saying in this scenario it just make sense

That makes a very heavy watch... Moto's latest watch was, what, 30-35g while a phone this size is anywhere between 180 and 210g?

I get it's a concept, the idea looks cool, but weight is still to factor in somehow.

This remind me of the big old galaxy gear with curved screen. Eventually kept evolving smaller and turn into a smartwatch. The latest smartwatch form is the end game for anything to be worn on a wrist. The consumer has spoken. Why are we bringing this monstrosity back into the wrist? No way people buying that.

Seven years down the line I think all (or atleast flagship) phones will be both rollable and bendable (like the above). When using the phone unroll it to 10 or 15 inches to use it like a tablet to watch movies. When done roll it back to 6 or 5+ inches (the size of a normal phone) and put it on your wrist (instead of in your pocket) and use it as a smartwatch like shown above.

                                  Laughable

If it would be a "shape shifter" such as a chewing gum or slime, and would be able to adopt for any form like the t1000 in T2, it would make sense. But using this one as a wristphone I just cant see it. But if they want to develop somewhere this is a great first step
