were it not for that helio soc the small one would be quite interesting. the soc means no custom rom though and for a phone from this company it's the 1st thing i would have done with it.

... moreThere's no point in comparing Apples with Androids. Both have separate user base, once in a while some guy shifts his base, otherwise no point comparing.
Now, I know Mini Androids are now few and far in between.
Still, no cheapskate buying a Doogee will ever consider an Apple phone, and no hardcore iOS/ Apple fan will consider Doogee.

Zenfone 9/10 have under 6 inch screen size but these have still a lot of bezel that make the phone size same as phones with 6.1 inch screen.
Samsung S23 - 146.3 x 70.9 x 7.6 mm - 6.1 inch screen
Asus Zenfone 10 - 146.5 x 68.1 x 9.4 mm - 5.92 inch screen
Just like this Doogeee Smini that is close to same size in dimensions of the box while have 0.9 inch smaller screen in it then 13 mini have

For me, those are compact phones. But sure, not the smallest ones in the market. Asus Zenfone is probably the best option of compact phones for you if you think anything above 6" isn't compact enough

However I would not blame Samsung as they are atleast having one model even if it's flagship priced. That one S model is what I have been buying for the past few years and I guess will be buying for the years to come till they stop producing it.
I don't think any other brand will be producing small phones with worldwide availability and great service.
