For instance, some of the workload on Adobe Lightroom that I use for photo editing is pretty GPU intensive (e.g. AI denoise, AI auto masking).

              >> Apple compared the M3 CPU and GPU performance against a laptop with Intel Core i7 1360P processor which has a basic Iris Xe graphics chip

Is apple afraid of comparing to stuff like amd 7840HS which has insane gaming igpu onboard?

With Zero Repairability/Upgrade as everything is either gonna be soldered(SSD, RAM, ETC.) or Serialized with T4 Chip.

                    Scary expensive

M3 is based on A17 Pro, just like M2 is based on A15 and M1 is based on A14. So in terms of thermal management and performance, A17 Pro is a snapshot of M3. Apple have been providing marginal IPC improvement over the years, the performance improvement is largely based on increasing the frequency on a newer process. However, this year TSMC's 3nm is not so effective as expected...

Apple's chief chip architect, Gerard Williams, left the company and created Nuvia, now part of Qualcomm. Apple's chief system architect, Jeff Wilcox, left the company and joined Intel. Apple does not have their "seemingly" huge advantage(indeed in only a specific set of tasks) any more over Intel, AMD or even Qualcomm, like they did with M1 and A14...
