Anonymous, 04 Nov 2023Your not thinking straight, the A17 could only run those ga... moreThe xbox one x destroys the a17 pro in games and consoles have way more games than apples games right now if you are trying to compare a ps3 it is obviously going to lose but when you compare a ps4 pro and xbox one x it will be destroyed by both of those and the resolution would be 1920 by 1080 and also it loses to the snapdragon 8 gen 2 and plus 1 that is bad hah dont try to compare those.

                          If you want a proper gaming PC, go for other brands, not Apple. Apple specialises more in power efficiency and studio work of their desktops, and they last long too.

                              You can just see by the sheer amount of Apple Haters in this comment section that once again Apple has a great product out, many of them claim not to want Apple products yet the moment any Apple news comes out they rush to comment on it because nobody cares about their favourite cheap android or Windows manufacturers at all.

The fact is that with Apple devices, comparing hardware specs to Windows / Android doesn't make any sense. Especially when it comes to things like RAM. Apple software uses resources more efficiently, and so it's pointless to try and compare the two as Apple can usually get away with having worse specs on paper, but still provide a better user experience for most in real-life usage. And to all the people still mad at the 8GB of RAM, the base model M3 Macbook Pro wasn't meant to replace the M2 14 inch Macbook Pro, but the 13 inch model with the Touch Bar. Hence the lower price tag. And guess what, if you go up to £1,900, which is what the M2 models started at last year I believe (correct me if I'm wrong), you get 16GB of RAM. M3 Pro and Max models come with 18GB+ as standard.

                                    And also, as a student, I've done exactly what you mentioned. I've bought an iPad with the keyboard case, and for when at home I've got a self-built PC. I don't need a laptop on the go, just something that is powerful enough for everyday tasks like note taking, and having the iPad means I can also use it for entertainment more comfortably than I would a MacBook. The M2 iPad will last me for years and years to come, thanks to just how stupidly powerful the chip is for a tablet.
