31 October 2023
It's now a full-on global crackdown.

well.. about a week ago, youtube totally blocked my browser and I just click the report issue option then I send "I rather not visit your website than turning my adblocker off, so go f*ck your self" then I stop visiting any google related website for 2 days, on the 3rd day I forget my words and open youtube and suddenly its just back normally and I never see that warning till now..! so, I will tell them "go f*ck your self" again and again..because they are notting without viewers, no maters how they steal the private data then sale to advertiser, no maters how the so called content creator faking or stealing or copying everyting to atrack st*pid viewers, they can go f*ck their self because they are notting without viewers..! thats it..!

YouTube ads are worse than what you see on TV, way longer than TV and 10x even more cringe than what ads get allowed on TV - so fk you google

Oh, we played the game with ad blocker and Twitch. Twitch backed down. YouTube will as well. We can always modify an ad blocker. 😅

When news of an A/B test that you don't like is going on, vote with your actions and try to sabotage the negative change.

In this case, if you were in the group that did not allow adblockers, stop using YT for a few weeks. If not, get YT premium to skew the numbers towards the change not happening. I should've gotten YT premium but YT has done some disgusting things these past few years, so I don't like the idea of supporting them.

I think I'm fed up of Google. Too many ads on YouTube and Chrome pages are littered with them. Anyone recommend a decent browser that blocks ads?

Google has our user data, knows what we want to buy, gets referral kickbacks, and basically we are all sheep in their global pen.

I think it's time for the EU and other countries to start looking more closely at Google's anti-competitive stranglehold on online advertising.

Having no competition they have already been exposed for pushing premium advertisers that pay millions of dollars a year for prime ad space - to no-name websites that get relatively no traffic at all instead of to the bigger websites.

They are in no position to talk about being dishonest.

Cpt.Power, 31 Oct 2023No matter how they try my adblocker for chrome as extension... moreInstalling extensions, tweaking settings or even using maximized windows defeats the whole point of using Tor browser.

Got round it already. Money grabbing idiots. We need a new company to take them on and get it right.

AvgpPhPhoneUser, 01 Nov 2023I can't even enjoy YouTube without being sent a 2-minu... moreI mean, don't you remember the "Adblock is piracy!" fiasco? Linus still believes that crap. But that just means that one day soon we'll all be pirates.

No matter how hard youtube is youtube with their anti-ads and deceptive ads. I won't spend money just to get a lousy premium youtube subscription!

The problem with taking the premium plan is that you miss out those ads. Some ads are really needed. Without the ads, it worthless to watch only youtube content.

AvgpPhPhoneUser, 01 Nov 2023I can't even enjoy YouTube without being sent a 2-minu... moreThey probably have it covered under there rules when you allow them access to your data in order to use there app and probably in browser cookies

DontExpectFreeStuff, 01 Nov 2023or better yet, if you cannot afford 120 dollars annualy, do... moreIf that is a netflix then that makes sense to pay that 15 a month cause there movies each cost in millions. But in You Tube they dont cost a cent to make for Google as they only host the videos people are creating. They dont even have the copy right for these videos from the creators so what right they have to ask so much money for premium when it offers you only ads free access.

The data they take from all of us and make absurd amount of money out of it should already cover everything from customers access
