just use a plugin to translate the subs if you don't understand Chinese. But .e.g pretty sure the AI will not work in english, it's part of the Assistant which got the biggest upgrade and so far the assistant is simplified Chinese only (not even traditional Chinese possible)

        What I can agree is the battery drain on idle , the battery is good but not great
        And lack of android auto but this is unfortunate since all china OS lack android auto

And well - yeah Oppo looks different - but Color OS vs Origin OS is mainly a different skin, most of the bloatware/spyware/system apps are identical. Origin OS has plenty of apps straight called com.bbk....
          Some of the problems and limitations are different, and yeah apps like camera are really different.

          As to why I don't want to use vivo gallery, it phones home to China way too much, I don't like it for organising photos, and I don't like the editing functions which in my eyes are far inferior to e.g. gcam toolbox or google photos. Yet it's impossibe to assign another default app for gallery to open out of the vivo camera.

          Now why don't I just straight use gcam? because the colours in gcam are very bad, vivo camera2api doesn't include a proper colour calibration.

          Or e.g. even using nova launcher and having installed play store - if an app is not found play store is not opening but vivo crappstore (full of spyware apps, outdated western apps or from unknown origin in many cases as the producers of those apps don't upload them to the bbk store (it's called vivo store, but it's universal to all China OS bbk phones).

          And so on.
          And yeah the battery drain of the crazy spyware and a right management that disrespects the right management of Android, and just gives loads of rights without a way to take them away for accessing your personal data to vivo system apps, simply isn't right at all.

          This OS is utter crap as it goes against plenty of android standards in right management and notifications - coupled that with a settings menu hiding loads of options (can get them via other ways again).

          This OS is like a prison, it's basically iOS from China. If you don't like what they serve you and want you to use, it's not useable. This is not so much about layout, but design as in the way it works. It works much more like iOS compared than working like vanilla android.

            looks impressive than funtouch os tbh. hoping origin os for global, then i'll reconsider buying vivo phone.

There is no working assistant usable in English, google assistant works so limited it's dumb without conversation and without keyword, no android auto, and many more missing.

                                  Also the worst spyware system ever causing horrible battery life.
                                  No AOD for western apps. Problems with plenty of smartwatches and so on.

                                  All coupled with a horrible design and constantly nagging you to use vivo apps. Cannot replace gallery for camera, nagging you to go back to default launcher should you manage to replace it.jamds down the worst OS by far. Even MIUI is miles ahead

                                  But yeah it's unique and looks similar to Apple iOS. If you don't like how iOS looks stay the heck away from that vivo rubbish OS. Even the quite similar color OS is way better with much less bugs.

                                        Each of these OSes from Realme, Oppo, Vivo, Oneplus looks like poor iOS copy. I'm not an apple fanboi, but cannot see lack of genuity and minimal invention. Copy, copy, copied, released.
