For example tho, a brand new Redmi 12 in my country is only 140$, which is a much better phone than this.

          Cheap phones have cheap build quality, I could never recommend them to anyone, that's why I said old flagships are better. You don't think so? You are in essence telling someone who wishes to buy a brand new device like this to buy something like a 6-year-old Galaxy S8 instead (one in near-brand-new condition sells for about ₦145,000~$132 in my country) which would offer, MAYBE, practically just a slightly better camera and chipset against the significantly larger battery/endurance and larger display of the Poco C65, both of which are features more in demand by the targeted buyers of this phone. The Poco C65 will also be easier to maintain and cheaper to repair than the Galaxy S8.

              Quit with the old and tired wasting of rare earth material gibberish. How could it be a waste when the device would be quite useful to the intended buyers?

That phone will be at minimum 2x faster. These kind of phones continue to exist because common sense is not so common anymore.

                Edit: Also people like you would buy it, because you immediately dismissed the idea of a better phone at the same price, before any research.

                  Need EU to pass a bill to ban this processor at this point. It was useless when it launched and is just even more useless today.

                          i am sick and tired of seeing the same garbage helios chipsets in every budget phone, surely there are better options by now like 732g or something

                              I no longer see any reason why an entry level phone should still use eMMC at the end of 2023. You can no longer argue that cost is the issue. OEMs is simply doing this to disservice customers and keep inflating the price of UFS as if it’s “expensive” feature.

                                It's $98 for 6/128 And $117 for 8/256Gb without discount here in the Philippines. Around $89 and $107 with discount.
