The S24 and S24+ aren't getting it, however.

    dead on arrival

[deleted post]Note that the s23 ultra is a very heavy finish, really. I have held it and it does not feel heavy, but I see many people who carry it on a daily basis and find it very heavy, Samsung should opt for another solution and not follow Apple's! which has brought them quite a few problems

Small Molecule OLED manufacturing started with Pioneer Corporation in 1997. Samsung jumped onboard 2002
1993 AT&T EO was first true phablet, HTC advantage preceded the note by 4 years
First water-resistant phone was Motorola Defy in 2010
Palm Pre introduced Multitasking with cards
Do you really believe Samsung invented the Stylus zoomer?
Quickcharge was introduced by Qualcomm in 2013
Samsung wasn't the first to introduce customizability, and custom ROMs always embarrassed their efforts
Always on Display was introduced by the Nokia N70/6303, on TFT displays, before AMOLED Symbian phones in 2010 like the N8

Why does Android continue to copy iPhone trends?? No wonder everybody wants an iPhone. Lame

Anonymous, 04 Nov 2023Why are you so obsessed with abstaining from using titanium... moreI don't like titanium, I wish more for stainless steel. Titanium simply don't allow heat transfer.

So it will be a tiny titanium block like the iPhone? Or will it actually be a full frame?

Anonymous, 04 Nov 2023Why are you so obsessed with abstaining from using titanium... moreTitanium is abundant, what isn't abundant is processing of titanium. It's expensive to extract, expensive to melt, expensive to machine.

My main issue is this half baked approach, same that Apple is doing, by doing composite construction of aluminium and titanium. Whole point of titanium is the lightness of aluminium and strength of stainless steel. Because it's so much stronger than aluminium while also lighter, they could make construction that uses less chassis material than aluminium chassis, allowing potentially more internal space. Bonding two different ones means you need extra surfaces to do that, achieving the opposite.

And while titanium is expensive, it's not THAT expensive. Again, I have several classic wrist watches made entirely out of solid titanium (and not just strips of titanium like the outer frame of iPhones). The amount of titanium in those watches is probably 5x higher per weight than in any iPhone, even Pro Max one. Yet they cost around 300€, some go for even less.

Fanboydestroyer, 04 Nov 2023If Apple built an iphone out of animal dung or radioactive ... moreLarge Displays: Samsung introduced larger smartphone displays with their Galaxy Note series, and Apple followed suit with the iPhone 6 Plus.

Water Resistance: Samsung's Galaxy S7 (Though it was S5 but let's not consider that) was one of the first major smartphones to offer water resistance, and Apple later incorporated this feature in the iPhone 7.

Wireless Charging: Samsung supported wireless charging in its phones before Apple introduced it with the iPhone 8 and iPhone X. Furthermore, let's not talk about reverse wireless chargin.

Multitasking and Split-Screen Apps: Samsung had a more robust multitasking and split-screen app feature on their smartphones before Apple improved iPad multitasking in iOS 9.

Stylus (S Pen): Samsung's Galaxy Note series included the S Pen stylus for precise input before Apple introduced the Apple Pencil for the iPad.

OLED Displays: Samsung was a pioneer in the use of OLED displays for smartphones, and Apple adopted OLED technology with the iPhone X.

Fast Charging: Samsung implemented fast charging technology in its smartphones before Apple introduced fast charging with the iPhone 8 and later models.

Always-On Display: Samsung introduced the always-on display feature, which provides at-a-glance information on the screen, before Apple introduced a similar feature in later iPhone models.

Customizable Android Interface: Samsung's TouchWiz and later One UI interfaces provided more extensive customization options before Apple offered more home screen customization with iOS 14 and widgets.

Dual-SIM Support: Many Samsung smartphones offered dual-SIM card support before Apple introduced it with the iPhone XS and XR.

The iPhone Pro/Pro Max had good reasons to use titanium, mainly to reduce weight compared to stainless steel.
But Samsung Galaxies have been aluminum for years, and using titanium might actually increase the weight of the phone. Imo this is not a good idea. Samsung has been seriously going backwards in design.
